Got will or not? If got let lawyer settle everything. If no, you need to manually approach pnb staff anf ask how to go about it.

If your dad has signed up Pengisytiharaan Amanah, it takes 21 days. Otherwise, it may take up to 6 months with the assumption of all legal documents are appropriately done.

This message I got 2 weeks ago from ASNB office when I enquired Pengisytiharaan Amanah.

Pnb staff??? Can it be done at the bank he usually do his banking at???

6 MONTHS???? I not sure of this pengisytiharaan amanah, is it a form you had to sign when opening an account or you got to ask for it?? If you got to ask for this form then I am in trouble.

I don't think banks can do. Need to go pnb. Pengisytiharan is something like a will come out by pnb. If you father applied for one, then they will have records.

Yes 6 months, that's the very least. That's about the duration of time for one to up and down courts and go through lawyers and stuff so that a power of attorney letter can be issued and the estate can be managed and distributed if one does not have a will. That's assuming of course there's no dispute among the surviving heirs to the deceased.
