QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 2 2015, 04:57 PM) yes, but "actual" income generated is different. KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), on Thursday announced a 6.40 sen dividend for a unit of the Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW 2020) for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2015.[SIZE=7]also the "history" & entry price (buy equities for the funds) also differ The dividend was 0.20 sen lower than the 6.60 sen declared last year, PNB chairman Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said when announcing the dividend. He said the rate for income distribution was reasonable given the stock market downturn and was also competitive against other investment instruments of similar features and risk profile. Ahmad Sarji said the income distribution this year involved a payout of RM1.14 billion, based on the average minimum equity held for the ASW 2020 financial year. "The payment is expected to benefit 883,422 unitholders who subscribed to 17 billion ASW units," he said. He said the income distribution will be credited to the unitholders' accounts on Sept 1. For investors who participated in the ASW 2020 through the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), the income will be credited directly into their EPF accounts through the Members' Investment Scheme. "Up to Aug 25, 2015, ASW 2020 had gross income of RM1.39 billion. Profit from the sale of shares contributed RM709.04 million or 51% of gross income. "Dividend income from investee companies contributed RM477.06 million or 34.3%, and the remaining RM203.74 million or 14.7% was from short-term instruments and other income," he added. Also present at the ceremony was PNB president and group chief executive Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman. "The performance of ASW 2020 was greatly affected by the performance of the domestic and global stock markets, which were severely challenging of late. However, we are paying 6.4 sen a unit. Basically, the maximum distribution that we can actually make is 8.5 sen[SIZE=7] a unit. "But we want to ensure that the portfolio we are managing will continue to record good performance from time to time...that's why we are paying 6.4 sen a unit," Hamad said. He said the volatile market amid the economic challenges gave the fund an opportunity to accumulate investments. "When the market is low, we have to aggressively look for investments that can give better yield in the future and there are some stocks which are good for investment now," he said, without divulging details on stock picking. - Bernama This post has been edited by winyap991: Oct 2 2015, 05:28 PM |

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 — Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd, the wholly owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), today announced 6.70 sen dividend for per unit Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW 2020) for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2013.[SIZE=1]
In announcing the dividend, the highest in five years, PNB Chairman Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said the dividend was an increase of 0.10 sen a unit from the dividend declared last year. “Throughout the financial year ending Aug 31, 2013, the ASW Fun managed to achieve the investment objective although the share market and the world economy were shrouded in uncertainty as a result of the protracted debt crisis in Europe and the change in the United States’ economic policy and the sluggish regional economy,” he told reporters when announcing the dividend. Ahmad Sarji said RM1.062 billion will be paid to 899,967 unit holders, a 9.2 per cent increase from the payment made last year totalling RM973.16 million. The unit holders jointly hold 15.8 billion ASW 2020 units, he added. Also present was PNB President and Group Chief Executive Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman Ahmad Sarji said the 6.70 sen dividend was reasonable when compared to other compatible investment instruments particularly given the economic scenario, which is still at recovery process. He said that up to yesterday, the ASW 2020 fund received an estimated income of RM1.28 billion, the profit from the sale of ASW units to companies, which contributed RM624.46 million or 48.8 per cent to the estimated income. While the dividend income from investments in companies raked in RM421.18 million or 32.9 per cent to the estimated income and the additional income of RM234.05 million was received from investments in short-term instruments and other sources of income, he said. He said the ASW 2020 dividend payment will be made by re-investment which will be credited to the unit holders’ investment account on September 1. All ASW 2020 transactions have been deferred since yesterday until Sept 1 to facilitate dividend calculation, he said. Unit holders can update their investment books at the PNB headquarters, branch offices or ASNB agents nationwide from Sept 2 onwards. For unit holders, who bought ASW 2020 units from EPF Member Investment Scheme, the dividend payment will be credited into their EPF Investment account. Meanwhile, Hamad Kama Piah said PNB has the capacity to pay nine sen[SIZE=7] dividend per unit but the balance two sen has been brought forward. “As usual, PNB, as a prudent investment house manager wanting to see consistency in terms of returns every year, the extra two sen we have to reserve and we hope this move will help to manage this fund so that the returns in the years ahead are not affected. “The two sen reserve totalled more than RM300 million and this is PNB’s long-term investment strategy for ASW 2020,” he added. — Bernama - See more at: http://www.themalaymailonline.com/money/ar...h.x3rIWQ1s.dpuf This post has been edited by winyap991: Oct 2 2015, 05:30 PM |

KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Bhd’s (PNB) wholly-owned subsidiary, Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), today announced a 6.6 sen per unit income distribution for its Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 fund in the financial year ending Aug 31, 2012.[SIZE=1]
This will entail a total payout of RM981.89 million, a 9% increase from last year’s RM900.72 million in dividend payout. PNB chairman, Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid, said the dividend was an increase of 0.1 sen per unit from last year’s 6.5 sen a unit. While ASNB has the capacity to distribute dividend of up to 8.6 sen[SIZE=1] for this financial year, it is however carrying forward two sen per unit to the next financial year to assist income distribution in the future. “A total of 907,594 unit holders, who hold 14.85 billion ASW 2020 units will benefit from the payout,” Ahmad Sarji told a press conference after announcing the income distribution today. He said despite the unstable share market and world economy brought upon by the European debt crisis, ASW 2020 managed to fulfil its investment objective throughout the financial year, followed by the good performance of the local economy and share market. As at Aug 15 this year, ASW 2020 recorded a gross income of RM1,205.76 million. Profit from the sale of shares contributed RM334.59 million or 27.7%, while investment in short term instruments and other income contributed RM204.62 million or 17%. Dividend income from investee companies amounted to RM666.55 million or 55.3% of the gross income. Ahmad Sarji said the income distribution would be automatically credited to the unit holders’ accounts on Sept 1, 2012, and all transactions for ASW 2020 have been suspended from Aug 24 to Sept 2, to facilitate the payment. ASW is a fixed price fund where 51% of the units are opened to Bumiputera investors and the remaining 49% to non-Bumiputera investors. – Bernama This post has been edited by winyap991: Oct 2 2015, 05:36 PM |
