Anyone else's iriz have problems with their doors making a squeaking sound when you open/shut the doors?

QUOTE(Musikl @ Oct 7 2015, 08:15 PM)
Creaking sound? Easy, grease up!!
Apply grease to door hinges
*
For me the grease didn't work. Easily fixed by the SC who "reattached the screws".

Just want to clarify on the above.  Proton Iriz service interval is 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first.  This means that after 6 months from last service, even though u haven't traveled 10000 km, need to go for service/oil change.

So my money wasted before when I used fully synthetic  doh.gif
*
I don't think i will hit 10,000km in the next six month, will go for the cheaper Semi oil thumbup.gif

No beeping sound. Gotta listen to the guns make the lock sound. If unsure just press lock button again. If it enters car finder then you know its lock.
1.3 Exec onwards have boot light at the left. Alternative is you can go to Sh@rty 5's shop to install boot light.

Hi, have anyone of you received the 7 years Extended Warranty Program (EWP) document from Proton multi-insurance company? I have not yet received it even though I have received my car on June'15.

Just received my car and drove it from Perak to Penang.

First impression
Good handling and sturdy
power is considered ok as it is a 1.3 engine, i believe 1.6 is even more powerful.
everything is good but for the radio, i set the volume to 3 but i turn it off and open again the volume is 6/7 again.

overall it is a very good car, value for money. so far no sound lol

The volume reverts to the original setup as this is a setting

You can set the radio to remember last settings and not revert to the loud volume

My sa wasap me just now that no 1 and 2 above will void warranty due to wire cutting.

He will source for no 3 and get back to me.
*
What people do to avoid is they use the O ring. That way no wire cutting. Just attach to battery.

manual has the way to set starting volume. The original volume is too loud especially when starting so I set it to 4.

I got these for 100 at a shop in Puchong. I don't know the name but it's an auto accessories shop accross from the Puteri Mart. There are two shops, not the first one accross from Puteri Mart but the one next to it.

Here's a screenshot of the map. This was the cheapest I could find. I believe it's 18mm coil, it took 10 minutes.

Manufacturers recommend oil changes either by time of mileage. For mileage, the answer is obvious but time is also a key factor because over time, oil will degrade in its lubricating qualities and the recommendation is only to ensure that the oil does its job in protecting the engine. Hope this clarifies.

This is much more important for European cars and warranty can be void just by missing an oil change.
