Just came back from the talk with Proton CTO. I have informed them of those 5 issues. As for issues like the key, they will investigate it. Reverse sensor they said that they recently got it fixed so u will need to change ur sensors. Iirc, they said they fixed it on June this year. Other issues brought up during the talk by others which I consider major is they complained that after ECU/TCU update which fixed the jerks during start/stop has caused a max speed limit of 160km/h.

I recorded the intro session and the Q&A session and I will need time to process it. What I can conclude is that despite initial things said by Proton where they are using a lot of Japanese tech for the car, during the talk, they said that most of the tech is German tech and standards(not saying that because its German tech means Proton = BMW/AUDI/VW etc) with slides that shows the company that provides the parts and he explained European car standards.

Been reading this forum trying to get more information before getting iriz 1.3 auto version, currently driving saga blm and iswara, need to have more information on this model and seems like not many here driving 1.3 auto version, why may I asked?...is it under power, bad fuel consumption or any other problems?....thinking of getting this model for my children to drive to college......hope to get some feedback, thanks a million

Hi guys.. Can anyone help me. My navigation system is not working. It cant detect the sd card. Do i need to send my 1 week y/o baby to sc or i can do it myself?

Mine was the clicky and easy to click. To be honest i hate it because i always get accidental presses whenever in my pocket. . Few days ago i triggered the car alarm for 3 times  And the key transmitter is damn powerful, i was inside the house and the car was at the roadside also can get triggered.

Both keys feel about the same to me. The only difference is my 1.3 has 2 buttons in the middle while the 1.6 has only 1 button in the middle.

I like the silver metallic colour. Moon dust is abit common.

I also have 1 rear passenger door

The paint is chipped until I can see the black part(probably the bare metal already)

I not really sure about turning the wifi on even u release handbrake. maybe i try to look at Tasker to force it on even u release handbrake
I would be nice to use Google Maps or Waze but the app is not compatible with our os. most of the popular apps support android 4.0+ (Ice Cream Sandwich and above)
I cannot change the os version. im only developing an app that could change the look of the HU only. i dont have the hardware to make a custom ROM for the HU

Anyone else's iriz have problems with their doors making a squeaking sound when you open/shut the doors?

Got key. Already settle, called the locksmith. The locksmith pumped the side of the door and unlocked the car. I didn't really see what he unlocked though. He inserted a long besi with hook at the end through the small opening he did from the door trim. He left no scratches, no damage to the door. RM80. Very reasonable, I think.

maybe u have accidently locked the windows via the button pointed by mmmm4

i've used to have issue with having hard time to start a car also
at 1st i thought it was battery issue
sent to sc, they said that 1 of the socket are loose
they tightened it, until now no prob anymore

Just did 1k service at Proton Mutiara Damansara, Things get rectified are:

1) Audio imbalance sound system
2) Dashboard Rattling Sound
3) Adjusting alignment

Opt for semi e.oil. The guy over the counter said can go up to 5,000KM but at the display show 9,000KM more for the next service.

Send at 9.30AM get at 5.00PM due to dashboard vibrating problem. Overall satisfied with the service.

Go Axia thread, you will see ppl complaining about dashboard rattling too, and also some of them seats are rattling.
Go City thread, you will also see people complaining about dashboard rattling.

Most likely than not, any brand that is locally assembled will have some rattling issues.

If you have test driven the car and is satisfied with the Iriz, don't let this rattling issue deter you.

My 2cents, rattling issues can be solved, but once you chose a car that you don't like, you will be stuck with it for a very long time
