Before
After
Used the Ezy touch up paint, it "covers up" the scratches well, not perfect, but at least there's no more of that black plastic anymore

QUOTE(trushalvora @ Sep 13 2015, 10:45 PM) tried resetting the head unit yet? might be able to solve your problem. Below your power button there's a clip which says "connectivity" , open it. Below your SD card slot, there's a small hole that will allow u to poke a pin to reset the Head unit. Hopefully that helps Thanks for the reply! Just now i plug the cable in, and it works, lol i didnt do anything tho.. maybe just restarting the engine? any way thank you! |

Hi,
I have been using the car for more than 2 months now. I bought the 1.3CVT basic CVT Model. Petrol consumption is high before the 1st service, but after the 1st service, I realize the petrol consumption is better. Clocking around 8.0l/100km. Just drive between 2 to 2.5k rpm and FC will be good. My previous car was a Myvi Pros: - Very comfortable seats - Love the head rests in the car - Love how there are sensors on all doors including the back boot luggage door (You can see which door is opened from driver's console) - Great build quality. The car feels solid when driven. (I only have 1 very minor vibrating sound from the dashboard, and it only comes up when driving on rough road) - Love the handling of the car - love how it also soaks all the bumps on the road - plenty of cup holders and pockets to put your stuff in the car - dedicated USB charger - looks great from the front Cons: - Loud CVT whine. If you rev the engine (>3k rpm), it will be very loud. - The reverse sensor is soft - The signal stalk is on the left and not right (this takes some getting use to) - does not look so good from the back. (It looks huge and ugly from the back. But I guess they needed this for head clearance for rear seating passengers) |

QUOTE(yadea @ Sep 12 2015, 08:00 PM) Just came back from the talk with Proton CTO. I have informed them of those 5 issues. As for issues like the key, they will investigate it. Reverse sensor they said that they recently got it fixed so u will need to change ur sensors. Iirc, they said they fixed it on June this year. Other issues brought up during the talk by others which I consider major is they complained that after ECU/TCU update which fixed the jerks during start/stop has caused a max speed limit of 160km/h. I recorded the intro session and the Q&A session and I will need time to process it. What I can conclude is that despite initial things said by Proton where they are using a lot of Japanese tech for the car, during the talk, they said that most of the tech is German tech and standards(not saying that because its German tech means Proton = BMW/AUDI/VW etc) with slides that shows the company that provides the parts and he explained European car standards. Syabas Proton. Hope my next 20k service I can fix all my car problem and claim warranty. Now just live with it |

I noticed it only comes out during hard braking I recorded the intro session and the Q&A session and I will need time to process it. QUOTE(twhong_91 @ Sep 13 2015, 11:04 PM) I'm getting an axia, sa told me will get the car by end of Oct. I need to use a car by first of Oct. So I'm thinking of getting iriz if its fast. You better ask whether they have stock for the car that you want. I asked proton sales at plentong and they don't have stock for iriz standard mt but have over 10 iriz standard cvt. Else they can provide the car faster once the loan is approved. Still, they are confident of getting the standard mt latest by end of sep as the promotion requires for the car to be registered latest by end of sep. This is the 10% discount plus rm100 x total number of years of currently owning a proton car.My loan for axia already approved |

You want a car with a butt(sedan cars). 2. You want FC like an eco car. 3. You don't trust locally made cars/Proton. 4. You can't drive manual and dislike CVT. 5. Car is often gonna be used to bring a family of about 5(late teens or adults) or more(I just think that for these cases best get a bigger car, not saying that the car cannot muat). 6. 107 hp is not enough. 7. Car does not go sideways easily. 8. Not race car. 9. You prefer cars without power steering. 10. Lack bragging power over car value with other peers/lack bragging over owning continental car. FC wise, best: 16km/l. Worst: 9.6km/l |

However I recall initially when proton launched the car, they kept saying things like the car was made mainly based on Japanese technology and such and they said theres no "Lotus Tuning" badge because it was japanese tuned.Anyway just to share some of the slides that I took pictures of, see attachments. As for the video featuring the whole introduction part: Introduction to Proton Iriz - YouTube *Edit: not sure how to attach youtube video, the player keep saying theres an error This post has been edited by yadea: Sep 14 2015, 05:49 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |
