need some info for iriz standard cvt model if anyone have add this......is there any holes ready to install this roof grab handles?.....thinking of adding this to the both rear and also driver side.

i have just bought the rear trunk scuff plate cover for my standard iriz and will install this weekend as standard model does not have ready holes to directly install this plastic, need a bit of mod to remove certain part.

I am an owner of the standard iriz model. If you have installed the grab handles, can u share how much u spend for making the holes and buying the handles..
Thanks! smile.gif

Not sure. After I sent my car to proton regarding this issue, I think they cleaned the air filter or sprayed it with something. When I got my car back it smells floral.

I believe there are cheaper ones available. However, i prefer to have my sa does it for me so that if there is any issue with it, he will be responsible for it.. peace of mind, at least for me biggrin.gif

If not mistaken, can get about rm200 in kl area from sharing by members in this thread.

Your welcome. How is your car? Any issue with it after driving it this long?

My 1.3 std mt is less than 3 months old and is free from any major issues so far. Do share if there are things that a std mt needs to look out for after a certain period / distance of usage.

I have called proton and they told me, you will have to wait for a letter from the insurance agency stating the additional 2 years warranty. I have not receive it yet. Anyone does, please share.

Did proton tell you roughly have to wait for how long to get the letter?

Yes, they told me I will get the letter on Dec.

BTW saw lots of comments on flooring the pedal reaching 160 and beyond; my question is, you no need to wait for the engine to run in?

I only keep the maximum speed to 110 km.

Ahh I see. Cause I rmb some1 here mentioned before the SC put a bag of fragrance at the cabin filter there to solve this issue. I guess if next time there's bad smells again can DIY. Just remove glove box and locate the cabin filter.

As for me, Before 1k km service, the max I went was around 4k rpm, just to test that awesome sound it makes tongue.gif

After my 1k km service, the next day itself (which was few days ago) I tested the car's top speed. Which was around 160km/h @ 5k rpm

What you should do during engine break-in period is to drive at varied RPM. Don't drive at constant RPM. So go ahead drive at 2k, 3k & 4k rpm. It will be fine, but not advisable to drive on highway @ constant speed/rpm for long distance. This is to ensure the pistons or whatever components in the engine gets to mate properly by driving at different RPM.
