Also, anyone know if ectbuy/yeslogistics still resume their operation as usual or shipping to msia now halted?

Mine not from online spurce, recommended by china sauplliers. But Air tak boleh pakai. Too expensive now

i thought all courier service will compare volume and actual weight? cos sometimes my parcel also light, but the boxes size is big.

Those forwarder agents might not for you because mostly are opened by Chinese national. Even website and customer service only understand mandarin. There are a lot of agents are offering first 20 kg no volumetric weight. Few will offer volumetric weight - actual weight not over 30 kg. Few will offer first 10 kg no volumetric weight

air shipment charging rules:

Volumetric Weight 1-20kg : No Volumetric
Volumetric Weight 21kg & Above : Half Volumetric

Personally I never engage this one.

There are certain forwarder agents also introduced actual weight sea shipment as long as the Volumetric weight - actual weight < 15 kg and within certain size. Eg https://www.xiaomayibuy.com/. Don't know is still applicable or not for this sea shipment to west malaysia

tao-post com --> This one the charging rules a bit weird. Volumetric weight is only chargeable if is 3 times of actual weight

prouter cn --> Volumetric weight is only chargeable if is 2 times of actual weight

sfinex com --> this is the one i always use. Volumetric weight - actual weight < 30 kg and within the size. However, the cso is chinese national (wechat sfinex110). She can understand a bit of English but will answer in Mandarin.

Thank you very much for the elaborate explanations, stangely your current shipper is in my Wechat contact since 2019. Will get my associate in SZ to chat with her.

During this period, it is not advisiabe to go via air shipment due to escalation of air shipment cost with sea shipment speed. Now a lot of agents already mention this, please go via sea shipment. China customs clearance is fast. But need to be in the q for up to 10 days to get on flight.

Some agent launched a expedite air shipment. Eg sfinex. But is only limited to normal goods

Electronics still can?

Sfinex quoted me 33rmb per kg, rather high. Yes, air is waste of money, my shipment ask to sent on Friday, today still in SZ. Should have use Sea.

Sea usually takes 2 weeks right at least

Don't know where you stay. But if you are nearby Singapore, you can consider send air shipment to Singapore. I asked sfinex and my friend in Singapore that engage sfinex service, there are more flights to Singapore than Malaysia. So the delay is still acceptable. If you need Singapore address, you can use like that https://postco.co/en-SG/locations to redirect the parcel to one retail shop in Singapore. Can store up to 14 days. Choose the retail shop that near to Woodlands customs. Go to Singapore to collect and also on the same time maybe visit someone there.

A forwarder agent tao-post.com started to adjust the price downward and announced air shipment to west Malaysia is back to normal. Charging merchanism by this company of air shipment is if volumetric is 3 times of actual weight then actual weight only. It is dexi agent. Cso are Chinese nationality and can be contacted via wechat. Go to explore can furfill your request or not

Any idea what is air freight time to kl during lockdown?

Hi, anybody can help me? my parcel is ship by sea shipping and the update at taobao is Malaysia custom cleared on 23 march but until now i haven get any update so i chat taobao for help and the tracking number they give me is this particular courier company name Dex-i and the last update is also Malaysia Custom Cleared. Do anyone know anyway to contact Dex-i or what can i do?

The forwarder I used is extremely slow recently. Been 3 days my stocks reach the warehouse they had not weight it. Are they overwhelmed by too many orders? Anyone experienced the same?

i paid rmb 44 for 1 kg, cause i need a sample send to me asap, but end up kena tipu by agent.
they promise item will arrived in 3-5day but now 10 day still nothing, don't trust those agent.
how ur parcel since 12 march, arrived ?

20th arrived, not so bad. Actually flights reduced cannot exactly blame them.

So I paid him premium but it still more than 10day

Yes, some agent mentioned if sent as sensitive item will be faster. But still cannot guarantee 100% will reached in 3-5 days.
