Doing business while pretending it's "community service" is just one thing.

After going through a couple dozen CtrlAlt GB pages in GH, I realised something else - Cody and Bunny love to bounce the ball back and forth.

Bunny: "Your item should be with Cody, but he is busy, I will ask him later."
Cody: "Bunny knows more about your order, I am not sure, I'll get him to update you."

This is a great tactic for buying time, as it allays customers' anxieties (hey, at least ONE of the bosses replied me) and gets them to ease off for a few more days.

I used to know a company that did this thing all the time.

Boss #1 (on the phone to supplier): "Your payment cheque with boss #2, but he is overseas now, don't worry I will rush him for you."
Boss #2 (on the phone to customer): "Your order is being handled by boss #1, he is currently on leave, it will be completed when he gets back."

Padahal both bosses are sitting side by side in the same office.

We called this tactic "Singgam Linggam". I try to avoid companies that set up two key men to play Singgam Linggam. It's better to deal with faceless entities where your support ticket can be answered interchangeably (e.g. Massdrop), or with companies where one guy is answerable to everything (e.g. Pexon).

Where to Find the Code:

For Bestbuy and Newegg, the code on G810 is in the box and for the G910 it's on the receipt.
For Amazon, the code is in the box. If the box of the G910 that does not have this sticker on the package, then you receive a older version of the box and I suggest that you reach our Sales Department for assistance.

There is just a possibility that you get an old packaging for the G910 that is why code is not included. We strongly advise you to please take a photo of the packaging and create a ticket for support at http://support.logitech.com/en_us/contact

Simply because Rantopad isn't a great brand, nor is the MXX a great product. The only reason to buy it is because it comes with Gaterons by default.
That's what I wanted to know. Tempted to buy one just to do a review.

Massdrop a drop on KBP V60 with Gateron before this, but can't seem to find the link now

I will do a major removal of the first page mainly on the recommendations.
Recommendations of keyboards will need update ASAP.
This is one of the transformation for the club this year.

And I need everyone help here, can you guys feedback about the things you don't like in this club? I'm looking for negative feedback.

Feel free to reply, or pm me. Thanks.

well, I'm not sure what is your definition of a great brand is, nor what is deemed as a great product by your standard, but I think not all brands are stagnant in their product development, there are those that makes mistakes, but willing to refine and fix those mistake to bring better products to the market smile.gif

Also, I'm not buying this at random, after getting recommendation to get this board, I did my fair share of researches on it and found that its offering vs price point is worth giving a try and thus decide to buy it laugh.gif

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Feb 27 2016, 03:50 AM)
Gateron Blues > MX Cherry Blues. Crisper clicks and more consistency.
*
This is what I saw in most /r/mechanicalkeyboard forums and reviews, they suspect recent batches of mx blues are having production issue either due to cost cutting or QC problem.
With all that said, it makes me ever more curious to find out myself tongue.gif

QUOTE(ck.chunkeat @ Feb 27 2016, 10:00 AM)
Eh, is that the only board with gaterons? smile.gif

Do you have any other board that also uses gaterons in mind?

Is it cheaper to get ready made board or diy our own gateron boards?
Actually I do not know what other boards are currently offering Gateron switches, I only knew MagicForce 68 (from davey.havok's review), Varmilo, and Rantopad MXX courtesy of a member in the fb mechanical keyboard club.

With the availablity of boards made by computer peripherals company, and some with a friendly price tag like the rantopad, i think it is cheaper to get ready made board unless you intend to have your own one-and-only board, then it is a different story laugh.gif

I thought of the same thing too (but not necessarily the same posts as you mentioned), #1 reason why I don't bother with Lowyat forums but then again this section doesn't add to your posts counts, aka they don't care whatever you post here.

Just like this post I'm writing.

I feel we should have a newbie thread for asking questions about where to buy, what switch, etc and the usual Club thread to talk other topics related to mkb, not related to newbie questions. There are a lot of gem conversation here but it's often get derailed by newbie question.

World’s First Analog Mechanical Keyboard

Here is a look at a very special mechanical keyboard that should be useful for driving games and other genres that demand higher degrees of control.

QUOTE
Analog inputs can send a variable signal, which changes depending on how far or hard something is pressed. Think of the analog sticks on your Xbox or PlayStation controller. They're called that, because they transmit an analog signal, which changes based on how far in any direction you move it. Now imagine that sort of sensitivity on a keyboard switch.

Nice keyboard, this feature can replace the current repeat keys (2x, 4x, 8x, 16x). Open a new world in mkb.
Too many new keyboards with nice features.

Pexon).

in my mind, i pictured the whole ctrl alt thing like starcraft. bunny & cody is the overmind...and you should know the rest lol!

The shitty whiteknights are the best part. One whole page of people defending CTRLalt, then one reply from cody/bunny.

On top of that, too many personal commitment to be doing this. I doubt they get zero profit from this. I don't believe that shit at all.

MX Blues have problem with consistency. Different batches report different ratings, so I've heard from 50g to 60g effective actuation force. Gaterons are made with new (?) molds, so their consistency way better. This is the first ever "clone" switch that I personally recommend.

if i had to make a comparison, it's akin to say a mouse without that slightly extra added acceleration. sadly i read my g700s isn't one of those :{ basically more fine tuned control is always a good thing nod.gif

this is possibly the future once controls are more accurate

Not really sure because I've seen some older Cherry MX boards with lowered clicks, and some newer ones also with lower clicks. It's consistent across the same board (thank God), but when different boards of same age also slightly different feel.
