ssxcool won. Still contacting him.

We published why he deserved a mechanical keyboard reason here.

"I spend my days typing and noticed that my hands getting fatigue after a while. Also, mkb might give me a competitive edge in gaming because it requires less force to press a key."

Hopefully, he will cherish his new keyboard. Congratz

And thanks for everyone joining this event.

Your typical hey-look-at-my-new-keycaps post laugh.gif

CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-i, blue switches

Taihao Miami PBT Doubleshot keycaps (OEM height) bought from taobao. Took exactly 5 days to arrive. Surprisingly quick biggrin.gif

Here's a link for anyone who's interested http://world.taobao.com/item/45134955830.h...0.BbcVOS#detail

In terms of thickness, it feels slightly thicker and slightly more solid compared to the stock keycaps. The surface of the keycaps has a matte texture to it, which definitely aids in terms of grip when typing.

The slight extra in thickness can be heard when you bottom out the keys. It doesn't sound as hollow as the stock keycaps smile.gif

However, these keycaps do not allow light to be passed through. I did buy with this in mind as half of the LEDs on my Rapid-i have already died and I keep the LEDs off nowadays anyway.

The letterings on the keycaps are definitely very clear and visible compared to the stock keycaps, since the stock keycaps are the type that requires backlight to be seen easily.

Simply because Rantopad isn't a great brand, nor is the MXX a great product. The only reason to buy it is because it comes with Gaterons by default.

One of the exclusive PC features is the support of LED keyboards, which means that you could for example bind certain game actions to certain keys or get informed by flashing lights when your health is low or teammate is down.

Logitech is one of the first that actively promotes its G series by bundling their RGB mechanical keyboards Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum and Logitech G910 Orion Spark with a free copy of Tom Clancy’s The Division.

Gateron Blues > MX Cherry Blues. Crisper clicks and more consistency.

The question is not waiting for the caps to be manufactured, which I understand.

The problem is when they are doing business, but pretend not to be doing it instead.

Doing business while pretending it's "community service" is just one thing.

After going through a couple dozen CtrlAlt GB pages in GH, I realised something else - Cody and Bunny love to bounce the ball back and forth.

Bunny: "Your item should be with Cody, but he is busy, I will ask him later."
Cody: "Bunny knows more about your order, I am not sure, I'll get him to update you."

This is a great tactic for buying time, as it allays customers' anxieties (hey, at least ONE of the bosses replied me) and gets them to ease off for a few more days.

I used to know a company that did this thing all the time.

Boss #1 (on the phone to supplier): "Your payment cheque with boss #2, but he is overseas now, don't worry I will rush him for you."
Boss #2 (on the phone to customer): "Your order is being handled by boss #1, he is currently on leave, it will be completed when he gets back."

Padahal both bosses are sitting side by side in the same office.

We called this tactic "Singgam Linggam". I try to avoid companies that set up two key men to play Singgam Linggam. It's better to deal with faceless entities where your support ticket can be answered interchangeably (e.g. Massdrop), or with companies where one guy is answerable to everything (e.g. Pexon).

Eh, is that the only board with gaterons? smile.gif

Do you have any other board that also uses gaterons in mind?

Is it cheaper to get ready made board or diy our own gateron boards?

Found this, the taobao conversion is 195, so I'm assuming the shipping charges and extra fees for conversion should be less than rm50? How much it usually cost to ship a mech kb?

Came across Armageddon MKA-5R RGB-Hornet TKL Keyboard while window shopping. Design wise, looks simple with a brushed aluminium top enclosure.
