Then yours is extremely serious, especially with stock 16" rims.

I never hit anything on my undercarriage, only front bumpers.

My car is kinda scratchless, not even kerb rashes on rims. It takes a lot of care in driving to avoid any scratch or nicks.

You are on stock 16" rim right? I don't know if there are any other fitting 16" tyres because I'm on 17".

The underside of my front bumper also full of scratches. What to do, still have to park at basement. Lol...

Usually a stock headlamp never needs adjustment unless someone go and meddle with it. It is factory calibrated using machine to ensure its angle is correct for both left and right lamp.

Installation of H7 bulb requires correct alignment of the tab. Incorrect installation will produce wrong focus, dim illumination and potentially burn the headlamp surface.

If the focus is correct, you should see a cat eye on the surface of the headlamp when you turn it on.

A lot of SC don't know how to install properly. I end up coming home and reinstalling it.

The right headlamp is quite tricky to reach, especially with a fat hand laugh.gif

I must use the help of my phone's camera. My eyes can never see the position of the bulb in such awkward angle.

I once uploaded a pictorial guide before, but I can't find my own upload.

There is a tab on the bulb, that you must insert accordingly to the bulb's slot.

Most importantly, never touch the glass with your hands. Once you touched it, it's going to blow very quickly.

A quick sharing here. Used my 1+ yr Preve for a family trip to a town some 200 km away during the Xmas break.

AA
Checked spare tyre pressure, took some time to reach 60 psi. That was the second time I checked the pressure of the spare tyre. Surprised at how fast it has deflated. Better check your spare tyre more regularly.

The design for the spare tyre placement is no good. Hard to get to the inlet valve. Need to turn the tyre upside down in order to have access to the inlet valve.

BB
For the 480 km return trip, my fuel usage was 7.0 L/100 km and average speed was 53 kmph.

CC
Used the GPS for the second time. Find it very useful especially when I need to go back to the hotel in the evening.

Like to know whether it is possible to enter a GPS co-ordinate and then view the map of that location on the screen WITHOUT physically getting to that location. Why? Like to know whether it shows the road etc or not as my GPS software is some 2-4 yrs behind.

DD
Impressed with the turbo power. Made my over taking easier. Can feel the car speeding up. POWER! Ha.

Excellent Preve car! Ha.

Cheerio.

Assuming your car has no peculiarities, this has got more to do with the design of the car park ramps(gradient) and height of speedbump which may not be within the required specification, rather than the car itself. As for potholes, that can't be helped. Perhaps you can check with other drivers whether they encounter the same issue with their cars at the same location which you have faced problems.

Yeah I agree with @SportyHandling. The springs of the Preve is quite stiff. The ride height maintains well for speed bumps and you should not hit the undercarriage. Just the front bumper overhang is too close to JPJ's specifications. Any road out of specs will hit it.

Hi guys,

My fiancee just picked up her Preve Exec CVT last week. But after I took it for a drive I noticed the following:

1. Alignment lari a bit - Easy solve if it's a simple issue
2. When braking, there's a sound coming from the front wheel (left one to be precise). It sounds like helicopter blades spinning
3. Engine noise quite loud wor..

Other than the above, no issues. Alignment can be done anywhere, but any advise on item 2 and 3? Wanna bring back to Proton SC since got warranty, I was told by the SA that item 2 is perhaps bad installation of brake pad. As for item 3, any advise on where and how much additional bonnet insulation would cost?

Thanks.

2. Common issue, depending on SC, they would wither skim the disc or change entirely new under warranty.
3. Nothing much can be done to this, the Campro engine is loud, and installing extra firewall would void the warranty IIANM.

I have to admit that I am not quite satisfied with Proton QC though. Least they could have done is to ensure small issues like these are eliminated before delivering vehicles out of their plant laugh.gif

Anyway, thanks for the input.
For item 2, shouldn't take too long for them to get it fixed, right?
As for item 3, I was mainly looking at sound proofing just the bonnet, since everywhere else seems okay. But I'll double check with SC to see if this would void warranty.

Our Preve Exec CVT got the same issue Seager.
1 weeks old and got these problems:

1. Alignment
2. Braking sound & shaking a little bit.

Can we go to the SC and ask them to change(claim warranty) the brake parts before the 1st 1000km service?

Also, I noticed that the petrol gauge/bar makes me confuse. It only left 2 bars, but the display also tells that it still can go 200+ km? Can I trust that smart display?

1&2 - Yes you can.

Your first time driving a car with mileage gauge? The gauge estimation is heavily dependent on your driving style and real-time traffic condition, based on your average fuel consumption per liter.
