Replacement at SC cost RM800-1k, outside RM300
Battery replacement from 3rd party will not void warranty

Original Varta battery sucks! Mine died within 12 months & claim under warranty, again died after slightly 12 months...

Have to fork out money to change outside, RM350 delivered & installed (century assist)

Cool beans, just saw a poster for a new VW 3S centre in Hartamas. I laik it.

Syukurlah I don't have to drive all the way to Sungei Besi all.

Guys, i'm planning to get a pre reg jetta of 1-2 year older (hoping to get at about RM110k). Is that possible?

On the other hand, what will be the rough maintenance costs?

Does the DSG gearbox is really as bad as rumored? Or it had fixed? I saw increasing amount of VW on the road nowadays.

Noted. So is that true that DSG problem only apply for 2011 2012 models? Just want to make sure sad.gif

Think need to ask any 2014 owners to confirm whether they encountered any issues

7 speed dsg still facing reliability issues as of today. that's why tiguan 1.4 is paired with 6 speed wet clutch dsg.
also in USA the 2016 jetta 1.4 with be paired with 6 speed auto.

the 7 speed dry DSG DQ200 is still slightly problematic,
my mate's golf mk7 tsi also had dsg mechatronic issue, luckily replaced under warranty recently

if u really want a vw, get those 2.0 ones
they're using 6 speed wet DSG DQ250

Had a creaking door noise and went to the nearest VW, thats the one in TTDI. After 2 visit, and for today i have been made to wait for 1 hour to be told - your car door is misaligned and was not purchased here, you should go back to the dealership you bought it from - which is sg besi.

i asked this is not VW? He said yeah but different company(of coz lah .. duh!) and if i insist to have it repaired there, i will be charged for it. so its better for me to go back to sg besi

called the sales guy, he said i can walk in to any vw sc. then i called vgw to ask, was told the same and they gonna check and bla bla bla

Cables here are expensive. I'm sourcing for a 9W7 BT kit; should be installing it on my car in two weeks after it arrives. Let you know how it turns out then.
