guys, I left my car at SC at GB Auto Parkland for one week to change clutch, absorber link, drive shaft and bracket, then I realised my car clocked 100km during this period. Is this acceptable? Could the service technician be using my car for joy ride during this period?

the 7 speed dry DSG DQ200 is still slightly problematic,
my mate's golf mk7 tsi also had dsg mechatronic issue, luckily replaced under warranty recently

if u really want a vw, get those 2.0 ones
they're using 6 speed wet DSG DQ250
*
Hmm ..... Noobs on VW here , 6 speed wet DSG DQ250 totally no issues or still have issues , but less ?............say, during first 5 years............ smile.gif

In Jetta user manual got mentioned the coasting feature, but I think is not enable in Malaysia verhicle. I believe only VAGCOM it can enable back the feature

for a normal oil change like mine... my car clocks 10 km...
their reason is that they need to test drive after servicing... bullshit reason..
more like they see my car is modded and they want to test power/performance...

i ban the SC ever since...

its not acceptable...

for your case... 10-15km at most as they need to check the shaft performance after installing etc...
100km is way too much...

decouple?

more like the ecu will cut off the fuel and let the engine be driven by the wheels and the moment u touch the throttle, fuel will be re injected again...
basically all modern car with fuel injection should have this... its just a simple programming of the ecu mapping...

this is different from auto start/stop system...

and yes, all VW cars has it... and no u wont be able to tell when it is working or not as its all done behind the scenes invisible to the driver...

Hey guys, my dad bought a golf tsi mk7 last dec. Was wondering. What are the minor performance I can do on it? Since its my dad's car and its under a year old, I dont think can do anything big.

What can be done? Usual stuff like air-filter and sparkplugs? If there anything else?

Thanks

My advice is dont do anything for the first two years of manufacture warranty. After the second year only you start modding since the EWP does not cover alot of parts

No, 3rd to 5th year warranty on parts still the same.
It was covered by extended warranty (insured by VGM via Allianz). Only battery is not covered after 2 year.

I just change my waterpump, clutch, fan belt at SC under extended warranty.

Do at your own risk, but they also need reasonable reason to void your warranty. Example, they cannot void your gearbox warranty if you're cutting wires for your head unit CD player.
