I will also be getting Samsung Note 6 (which I hope is similar or better specifications than Samsung Edge 7).

In case for GPU, will just monitor the situation and determine the next step at a later stage, no hurry.

ASUS quality issue

QUOTE
I received my GTX 1080 Strix last night and immediately started bench-marking and stress testing it and one thing stood out to me... Temperatures exceeding 80C even with an aggressive fan profile.
I decided to pop the cooler off and have a look at the PCB.
Low and behold the card is missing the memory thermal pads.

And hence, best to wait it out. All this rush to roll out the products to the market is never a good thing

Perhaps they're all just reference quality in performance but these AIB partners are desperate to justify their one-upsmanship over one another, even over the FE, when in reality, the performance delta is so little to give a shit about?

Feel good only. biggrin.gif

Also nowadays buy aircond to cool the room might be a better option than spending on custom water cooling.

If only I live in kampung area with a nice cold sungai behind my house. I can imagine running a small pump, circulating the cold sungai water into a catchment tank right in my room, and then dunking my PC cooling raditors in it. 24/7 excellent cooling minus the electricity bill.

I watched your Galax Computex video.

Just curious with the Galax GTX1080 / GTX1070 coolers (non-reference). Are they larger than 2 slots (ie. 2.5 slots) or would they fit in two slots?

Thanks.

Kih kih kih, then replace the 240mm radiator with car radiator. Paint with rust resistant paint. With radiator submerged in continuously cold running air sungai, I think it will be cooler than running in air-cond room. I might just to that, when I'm 60 years old, retired and sick of living in KL.

Yeah that might work, but believe me when you grow old and lived near the forest you wouldnt bother with tech anymore (and to get equipment will be hell for sure) biggrin.gif

I will probably retire and stay in an area with strong internet connection as I would like to complete my games on Steam.

Prices look reasonable.

I am very interested in the Zotac AMP Extreme GTX1070 or GTX1080. Hope we can get that pricing of that soon.

Ehhh you never know. If everyday tengok pokok sama burung pon, bosan juga. Once in a while, do "Death from Below" followed by 'Knife Throw Takedown" on one of Pagan Min's army also syiok.

I first started playing computer games in 1987 (at Alor Star PKNS building, fav game was Karateka and another space-ship racing game, RM 1.00 for 1 hour gameplay), and continued playing through the years, I think I'll continue in my old age. Plus future, maybe drones will be sending the parts I ordered online.
