QUOTE(sai86 @ May 10 2016, 08:47 AM) i'm curious what cooler will be use by AIB partner on $599 model. old ref design cooler? (if there's one at this price point) I hope that one of the partner would use Artic Cooling tri-fan cooler for both GTX1080 and GTX1070. However, I think I would have to wait for a few months for that (after the official release that is).since the new design is FE at $699, else, can we safely assume that AIB non-ref design will be higher than FE? |

The Zotac GTX1080 appears to be using the Artic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 3 /4. That would be my choice.
Silent at full speed and it manages to cool the GPU very well. I am using Artic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 4 on my Asus Geforce GTX970. It only reaches 51c while playing the new Doom. |

Looks like the Artic Cooling GPU coolers can also be used for GTX1080 as confirmed in their website:
Source I will definitely get one in case I go with the reference version of GTX1080. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ May 27 2016, 07:26 PM) I have read the article on your website. Just like to ask whether the Cooler on the Colourful GTX1080 is the same as the Artic Cooling Accelero Xtreme version or it is something entirely developed by Colourful. Thanks in advance in your thoughts about this. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ May 27 2016, 10:56 PM) Normally I just let them present, and then put video of it. Sounds interesting.Flying off in a few days, gonna meet with as many brands as possible. Gigabyte already kacau me to try their VR (which I think using 1080), Zotac also kacauing me to meet them. Gonna be a long week ahead. Have a safe flight. Also, would appreciate if you could confirm the same for Zotac GPU cooler, where possible. (ie. Artic Cooler Accelerro Xtreme for Zotac GTX1080 AMP?) That would be very helpful. |

QUOTE(TheHitman47 @ May 31 2016, 11:59 PM) Is your casing mid-tower?I have always sticked with full-tower since my Intel i7 920 PC previously and have continued to use Artic Cooling Accelerro series of GPU coolers (which is about 2.5 slot cooler). The cooler gets a bit heavy (especially with the back heatsinks which I have not used). |
