The 970 struggling in Witcher 3 already, wish to enjoy that game in full quality so I've been waiting until I can upgrade.

From the benchmark I see, the 1080 is about 2x faster than 970, so I think it will be a worthy upgrade, and also nice performance boost  biggrin.gif

haha ok how about comparing with 1070 because more value 4 money oh hehe

Will have to see more benchmark first.

Although it's better value for money, if the performance difference is not that huge then, feel like wasting money too sweat.gif

*Whoosh*

...that's the sound of my small hope/thought of getting the GTX 1070 disappearing into thin air after seeing the price.

Will stick with my current card for as long as I can hold out.

If your existing card is still able to get you the results you need, stick with it. Am hopeful prices will settle down when market supply starts to increase.

Price setting agreement I reckon. Either all the stocks come from one source and that source is the one setting the price, or the stocks comes from multiple source, and one store sets a price and the rest follow. In this line of business, if one store breaks that code and go against the rest and set cheaper price, watch as the rest gang up against him and oppress him: either in limiting stocks to him, squeeze him out of minimum order quantity (MOQ) on his next restocking, or other unscrupulous deeds that is equally despicable.

I thought the seller at LYF and Lelong will be free from such pressure, looks like I was wrong. Sigh.

Connections, bruh. They will dig up where the seller gets his cheap stock from and proceed from there.

Haven't I Said This Much Earlier:

"No one (manufacturer) is gonna build a custom OC card and PRICE it Below a reference card"
ASUS pricing memang like that, sometimes cannot brain also.

But if you look at brands like MSI, they do have AiB models that are cheaper than FE. You can refer to various sites............ .but I can't say the same for Malaysia, we'll see once they arrive.

The only benefits of FE cards are slimmer size to fit into smaller mini ITX cases, and blower style cooler blowing hot air out of the case, again beneficial for smaller chassis.

The supposed advantage of non-FE with extra pins and big ass fans, is a wash: both FE and AIB cards overclocks close to each other thanks to voltage lockdown. AIB cards may have the advantage in cooling capability and noise levels, but AIB cards dumps hot air back into the case, so you need cases with positive airflow out of the case, and you can program fan curves into FE to match AIB noise levels (noise level is a wash to me as well, unless you game with volume down totally). AIB cards came pre-OCed, but FE cards can match and supersede that with their own overclocks as well.

I see . Thanks for answering. Now im still considering whether to get one or just go for normal 970 as i only game in 1080p for now. But its so tempting to get the latest card since this is my first purchase of a gaming rig.

I wonder if anyone documents the price trends for pc parts in Malaysia like pcpartpicker. For example, https://pcpartpicker.com/trends/price/video-card/.

Would be interesting to see.
