Lucky you. I have GTX 970 SLI now. When AMD RX 480 becomes available next month, I think 2nd hand GTX 970 price may drop like batu jatuh dalam sungai.

This is truly a huge bump generation.
While buying second hands may not be the go to choice with the price of RX480 being so attractive (and other un-revealed models), unless that buyer is in very tight budget (but hei, 970 is still VERY good); the biggest advantage I can see is someone like me that want as many cards as possible to do rendering. (if only I got the $$$, but no). Since rendering do not require the cards to be connected in SLI mode, you can populate as many as you have PCIe slots, this has the potential to build some insane rendering power house for very cheap price~

hi guys, anyone knows what's the best OC setting for Leadtek GTX 760? Whenever I try to OC it using the MSI afterburner, it always gives me the brown screen of death.

Oh no! GTX1080/1070 already pushed down GC prices by so much. Now looks like RX480 is going to make it even worse. I can throw my 980 into the dustbin......

If RX480 is as powerful as rumours has it, the good times are back for everybody. Healthy competition!

Not like the CPU side where Intel CPU's prices has never dropped for the past few years!

hmm...gonna sell my r290 soon.....not sure gonna get GTX 1070 or r480....ofcus prices is my first priority........

How about donate the gpu to me instead.

I doubt RX480 is powerful enough. Otherwise AMD would price aggressively against nvidia 1070 or 1080.
After all, AMD is not in position to sacrifice revenue to gain market share due to its financial situation.
On the other hand, Nvidia can afford to do so.

Use first, throw in dustbin next time.

Even if RX480 doesn't reach 1070 level (maybe 1060), the price is going to drive down GC prices by a lot. Guess have to wait for benchmarks.......

I don't think the RX 480 is that much of an upgrade for R9 290, unless you really just need that extra bit ommph. The 1070 on the other hand, is quite bit of jump. I understand the price of the 480 is easier to swallow.

People tend to forgive a lot of flaws and imperfections when it's priced that cheap. On the opposite end of the spectrum however, people get extremely picky and bitchy when they paid what they consider as "expensive" and expect the card to do miracles and impossible performance expectations.
