It seems like I will most likely getting 1070 OC ver instead of 1080 after reading the review. The dollar per performance of 1070 is much better than 1080. I can use the xtra funds to invest on my 2k monitor or use it in getting my PS4 Neo on Sep rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

However, most likely I will not be doing SLI for it as I plan to make M-ATX form factor instead of ATX. I'm still struggling whether I should go for either one of these.

Wise decision if you do go for a 1070 OC'd. You will be getting yourself a 980 Ti and Titan X killer at an unbeatable value. thumbsup.gif

With a MATX mobo, you still have the option to SLI later since they do have 2 PCIE slots. Unless you intend to use one of them for PCIE SSD, an MITX mobo will be "smaller" if SLI is off

People tend to forgive a lot of flaws and imperfections when it's priced that cheap. On the opposite end of the spectrum however, people get extremely picky and bitchy when they paid what they consider as "expensive" and expect the card to do miracles and impossible performance expectations.

Selection and confirmation bias.

Let see what kind pricing it will be in Malaysia? If its just as ridiculous as the one rumored in India, I think better wait the dust to settle after green team and red team fires salvos at each other (1080 Ti lah, Vega lah, 1060 lah, RX 470 lah or what ever they can throw at each other)

Wow, that's bad... ohmy.gif Talk about profiteering, this is despicable. As I recall, folks in Brazil too pay a fortune for PC hardware/components.

Dealers selling NV cards at markup price is not NVIDIA's fault... NVIDIA can set MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) but dealer/distributor can sell at a higher retail price...

Almost every new electronic launch is sold at a markup price i.e. iPhone, Fury X, now GTX1080.. Remember Fury X launch? It was sold up to USD 900 on Amazon.
Why? Because there are people willing to buy at a significantly markup price to own it first. (supply-demand)

Wait for the dust to settle first.

Yes, agreed. Those who can wait should hold off until the euphoria dies down. Current prices are also significant higher due to supply constraints.

Indeed!! And when more supply of pascal cards and substitute products become available (Red Team), we can expected prices to "normalise" further
