its just simple wiring bro.. no problem.. just double check the wiring that's all..
the only concern is if the airbag from other steering can function or not because this only can be inspect by toyota technician, the connection is simple..

Open & install easy. Once accident claim, insurance can cancel your policy claim due to modification safety equipment. Better think before decide bro.

Owh.. then that is another story..
As for installation dont have much problem, but as for insurance claim MAYBE they didn't notice because its toyota steering too..

Eg u buy Vios j, but when accident in front bumper, they will not add the skirting back as its additional, while steering if somehow they know its not an original vios steering, maybe they just left with no steering.. huhu..

No problem, just that it is less fuel efficient and more draggy.
The rule of thumb is that if your high mileage car does not consume engine oil, just continue to use the ideal viscosity. No need switch to more viscous fluid.

Managed to get these problems fixed for 2015 vios, might be helpful for you guys to refer if you have these problems.

1. Aircon dashboard panel right side larger gap - took 3 visits to completely fix it. 1st visit fixed but glove box panel not fit properly. 2nd visit fixed but result in air con still running even after turned off aircon knob.

2. Both rear wheel drums have rust spots, sc painted the spots.

3. Sc adjusted the door due to noise at right door when breaking and accelerating.

Recently change my 16" rim to 15".
Wow ... big difference in handling and pick up.
Obviious;y, 16" is too heavy and big.
15" ... Just nice... rclxms.gif

Hermm.. recently change from 15' 195/55/15 to 17' 205/45/17 with Eibach lowered spring..
Can say a lot different in stability when high speed n cornering, n no more boat floating feel.. but sacrifice a bit acceleration (but just a little bit, not obvious)

Thanks. Also, how do you find their overall services? Cause I'm starting to get fed up with Toyota SCs.

Complain this and that but yet they are just giving plenty of excuses to resolve issues.

Yeah ... with 195/55/R15... the wall is higher hence the floaty feeling.
Maybe in the future I'd try 195/50/R15 ... with shorter wall ... less floaty(?)
With 17" or 16" .. this effect is lesser bcoz most of the height is the rigid rim.
Mine is J spec ... the pick up is horrible with rim higher than 15"
If i'm not mistaken the stock rim was 14"?

I got my car since last year june, after that I complain to Service center that my car have this kind of noise and according to them, mine is updated mounting which the sound is reduced but not completely gone if compare to 1t batch.

I'm not sure how true is that. But the last visit to service center a few weeks ago, heard from technician that
Vios have new improved engine mounting and no more sound after passed through the bump.

So I would like to check with the member here who just received the car recently, can you spotted that the
noise is still there ?

I was brief by their gm and first class technician they will solve this problem by before july 2015 thats the timeline before i trade in my car with high price because of the defects

Well sucks to own this car on dec 2013 i still remembered and never forgotten this problematic cars and petition all the hassles i went through till their gm come and make appointnment with me

This is also one of the cause that makes toyota sales drop these 2 yrs if im not mistaken overtaken by honda selling defective cars to consumers thats a big roflmao
