Why I need stand behind the car with foglamps on? I don't always tailgate people car so never facing irritating.
2nd, did you read my statement previously? I never say will simply open foglamps. I open when I feel behind the car too closed could cause of dangerous when emergency braking.
While you talking fogging or rain that's depending. We can on double signal or full lamp.
Conclusion, I switch On if behind car highspeed chase and tailgate, or reverse gear when area dark without good visibility.
1. It is a norm to see uncivilized driving behaviour in our everyday life. Tailgating is one them.
For most of the scenarios you can easily let the tailgaters overtake. The action of turning on the rear fog light to 'counter' the tailgaters is just as uncivilized as tailgating itself. Such hostile approach is unlikely to be productive.
2. Turning on the hazard warning light (as in double signal) during heavy rain is actually not very correct as well. Such practice is pretty common on road, so this statement might come as a surprise to many drivers out there. Why is it so? Because other drivers cannot anticipate your next move when your hazard light is on continuously, so you have increased the risk of accident indirectly. Actually this is quite a common knowledge, just that most drivers are not properly taught in Malaysia.
All these lights are created for effective communication between drivers on road, so mutual understanding on the significance of each light is critical. Misuse of lights can only lead to confusion, unnecessary slowdowns, and even accidents.
