My comment:
10 Dun worry about ATM. Tanah Rata is also the financial hub for CH, there are Maybank, HSBC, BSn, Agrobank, Hong Leong & Arab Malaysian...Funny can't see any CIMB & RHB

2) No idea on bus services..din try that option b4 but for sure there is a bus station opposite HSBC...

3) Diff hotel having diff arrangement. U need to chk wth the hotel

4) I mentioned about KRS b4 but probably by now KRS is selling like hot cake & thus price also oncrease.. u can try just walk-in. I walk-in last dec and yet still having rooms available.

5) KRS is a guesthouse. I recommend bcos it's clean but u dun expect any hotel quality thingy..just a basic clean budget hotel

I have few doubts here:
1) Is there any ATM machines at CH? Just in case need cash on weekends or public holidays...
2) Will those bus services available on ad-hoc basis from CH to KL? Or will I be able to get bus ticket for this direction while I am there?
3) I don't have a credit card. Can I book room without credit card? Or is it a must to pay first while booking but not during check-in/out?
4) One forumer mentioned that KRS Pine Guest House normally will have rooms available even on peak season/public holidays. Do you think it'll be ok if I decide to stay there without prior booking?
5) Base on one of the provided link, KRS has following room: double room - single, double room - double, double room - twin, all costing $90. Anybody know what are the differences?

Thanks for any suggestion.

2) Kurnia Bestari is quite reliable. Plan your holiday and get ur ticket earlier to avoid dissapointment. Local and foreign tourist rely on buses to Cameron Highland and Pudu Raya. Going to be a peak period by Christmas time.

4) & 5) Don't rely 100% on those infos provided in the net. Most of the time, the details provided are not up to date. You just need to call KRS room and reservation, get the room details and book your room - as simple as that and also piece of mind smile.gif

Here are the contact details for KRS room and reservation:

No 7 Jalan Mentigi
Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands
Phone: (05) 4912777 (Kris) / (019) 5101777 (Raj)
Fax: (05) 4912777

cheers and happy holidays!

If you're into photography too, and love sceneries, of coz you'll love Cameron's more than Gentings.
Here's a closeup photo of the strawberry there.

there are 2 CIMB banks, one in Tanah Rata, the other in Ringlet.... biggrin.gif also you can find Public Bank in Brinchang(beside the Rosa Hotel)

the bus station is now moved to the other building where just located opposite the Marrybrown restaurant. smile.gif

'Regal' is the only local bus service in cameron.

if you travel from KL to cameron, there are 2 bus services. one is called Kurnia, the other is Unititi. you can find both in puduraya.Unititi is VIP seat, the price is around RM35,it's expensive than kurnia but nicer.

Jes cameback from cameron. Raining non stop there. 2days stay at new lot Chua Gin that cost Rm158 during super peak on Sat and Rm90 yesterday at Hotel Rainbow, non peak. Hotel Rainbow really 2x better than Chua Gin.

Ate Steamboat at Yoo Hou. Very bad taste i would say. Maybe i love steamboat so much that i felt that Cameron doesnt have a good Steamboat. Not like those Sunway Mentari Tasty Pot type. drool.gif

Huh...din I mentioned earlier not to take steambaot at Berinchang? hmm.gif biggrin.gif For steamboat, always stick to Tanah Rata (Mayflower/Hong Kong)..& infact other food too in Tanah rata..more reasoneable & taste better than those highly rated & cut-throat steamboats in Brinchang
