Guys you all love Cameron Highlands right? So do I

Tip: Dive into the local history during your afternoon tea!

Last month I had an afternoon tea at Cameron valley tea plantation where I spotted a book named “Cameron Highlands Discover the history”. Overlooking the tea plantation and sipping my hot tea I went thru the book. All the pictures and stories gave the afternoon tea a special touch. I have to say reading can be bored, but when you love the Camerons or want to know a bit more over this place it’s more than worth it.

Yes I stayed at KRS many times now. Twin Pines is their 1st B&B & KRS their newest. Twin Pine is real B&B hostel concept wth shared bathroom. KRS is more for family & couple with own attached bathroom and clean.

Yes you need to call them 1st to book and pay them by banking-in to their bank a/c. Walk-in depending on luck. If they said no more room, you can try walk-in but for sure I hate doing this bcos you will be walking from one hotel to another and check..furthermore walk-in rate is expensive bcos they know you are desperate for rooms biggrin.gif

Just saw the rate at their website,

Twin Pines
Attic Rooms (Shared Shower)
Single - RM15
Double - RM25
Triple - RM35
Quad - RM45

Double Room (Shared Shower) RM35
Family Room (Shared Shower) RM90
Double Room with Shower RM50 - RM70

KRS pines
Single (Attached Bathroom) -RM35 - RM50
Twin sharing (Common Bathroom) - RM35 - RM50
Twin Sharing (Attached Bathroom) - RM60 - RM80
Double Room (Attached Bathroom) - RM60 - RM80
Triple Room (Attached Bathroom) - RM90 - RM120
Family Room (4 pax, Attached Bathroom) - RM110 - RM150

For the Twin pines, the attic rooms only rm15? what kind of room are that? does shared shower mean share bathroom with the other room right? hmm.gif

for the KRS pine, what mean common bathroom ? izzit share bathroom?

As I said, Twin pines is more or less a hostel. You stay wth others. So the RM15 is those hostel style double decker/ single bed and you sleep wth strangers for sure. I din know KRS also having shared common batroom type of rooms bcos as fas as I know, all rooms in KRS are wth attached bathrooms. This common bathroom probably they convereted few rooms wth the attached batrooms and shared among the single bedded customers.. meaning other stragers in one room and shared the bathroom inside the room?

maybe the bathroom has 2 door linked with 2 bedroom which has single bed, that mean 1 bathroom shared with 2 people
or
maybe the bathroom has 2 door linked with 2 bedroom which has 2 single bed, that mean 1 bathroom shared with 4 people
?

Unless it is the school holiday season, then the pasar malam in Brinchang is only on Fridays and Saturdays. Sundays the pasar malam is in Tanah Rata but not many stalls. There are also pasar malams in Tringkap, Kg. Raja and Ringlet on some weekdays, can't recall which days for which village. The villages pasar malam is targeted at locals though and only the pasar malam in Brinchang is tourist targeted. laugh.gif

Shortest & fastest route from Shah Alam- Tapah for sure.
Very Far but cheapest toll- Bentong/Raub - CH
Far, expensive toll but almost equal timing or later than Tapah - Spg Pulai
