i thought NAV has no impact on fund performance?
i mean buying a fund with very high NAV or very low NAV shouldn't matter right? as long as their ROI in % is good
Are you sure it does not matter ??
Make more or make less does not matter?,
when you are taking the same risk laying the same capital?
Eg Kenanga Growth Fund,
I gave RM10,000 to 2 persons to invest in KGF.
A bought on 28.7.2015 at RM1.0509, (ignore fee) so he got 9515.65 units
B bought 1 week later on 3.8.2015 at RM1.0619, he got only 9417.08 units.
A got extra 98.57 units and this is worth RM104.67 now.
later if the price goes up to RM1.50,
A would have extra profit RM147.85
That is only for RM10k , 1 transaction
What if you do that for RM100k,
and 10 transactions ,
how much difference A have more than B?
RM147.85 x 100 = RM14,785.50!
Even if the price drops, A would always win over B ,
who says never mind buy at higher price also okay.
Am I inviting the wrath of many investment sifus here?? Not my intention..
