QUOTE(rapple @ Mar 4 2016, 02:49 PM) GST is not related to your personal income tax. Yes the commission is taxable. Well, if there is any cost incurred to generate the commission will be deductible. But bear in mind, not all expenses is allowable. Max out the tax relief that you are eligible. Donate more to LHDN approved organisations. That is so much you can do to minimize the tax / lower the tax bracket. Eh, I thought the cost incurred to generate the commission is only deductible in cases where the tax is filed under company and not for BE. Correct me if I am wrong.

Purely commission based.

Well, looks like a business income to me.. You could deduct the expenses against your commission income. QUOTE(iSmart @ Mar 4 2016, 04:56 PM) My gross on last years is 56k and pcb total pay rm1500 Need to pay more or wat? You have to file for your tax first. And most likely you will have a refund.

Erm.. I don't quite understand You mean your tax relief doesn't minus against your aggregate income? Or your own calculation differs against their calculation?

QUOTE(soultaker @ Mar 3 2016, 10:32 PM) Understood. Thanks again. Didn't get the RM2k tax relief. but I had paid extra tax. At least get some refund. Can't believe that my tax amount for last year is more that my 1 month salary. Work for 12 month but get around 11 month salary only. You're lucky. Ahjib Gov whacks me 2 month salary.

Hello, newbie here, I'm an internship student who work under a company for 4 month, so should I go register the income tax as well? If I do, what if after the 4 month? Do I need to re-register again with new company?

Hello guys, Government is now running "special promo" for tax evaders, people who doesn't file income tax and those who has understated your income. Better to surrender and pay a penalty as low as 15% - 20% rather than 100% - 400% later. This promo ends Dec 15. Audit cases 25% - 30% during this "promo" period. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/IP-nhzKRj..._=w970-h1293-no

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Mar 5 2016, 06:10 PM) gomen really desperate for money now Government giving second chance. I think people should take this chance and settle any pending issues with LHDN. Remember there's two things that are certain in life; death and taxes.

I would say it's win-win situation for both gomen & the people. gomen get "extra" income from those under-declare, while we get "discounted" tax penalty
