hello guys, please recommend me water filter.... Really cant decide between amway and aquaphor...

Amway is almost 2x the price of aquaphor.. but it is more well known and the design is nicer lol

For yearly cartridge change, both are around the same price.... Functionality wise, I really cant commend cause I hardly study anything about water filter.

Please recommend me one. Thank you = )

What else you need to know about Aquaphor? Actually if you read through this thread, you can see the past discussions, replies and feeback. However, most forumers find it too much info to read, most of them just drop by my shop smile.gif

If you think Aquaphor Crystal Eco with filtration 0.1 micron (Espring - 0.2 micron) is still not good enough, u can still opt for Aquaphor DWM 101 (RO System - 0.0001 micron). DWM101 filters of everything including minerals but it has a remineralization cartridge to balance back the mineral and pH level in the water. I haven market it yet in malaysia but used it for about 6 months for testing, so far so good. This system produces the purest and cleanest water but most people in malaysia prefer Crystal Eco as they think Aquaphor DWM 101 is too clean smile.gif

There is too much info on water filters to read up (RO, Alkaline, Energy water, Oxygen water and etc etc), if you do not have the time, just drop by my shop for me to explain the details.

I'd love to go to your shop, but it is really far from my place, I am from puchong lol...

I have received so many pm regarding espring, so many amway distributors in this forum and of course all amway distributors recommend espring. Any genuine user can give some feedbacks? haha

I have currently been using Aquaphor Crystal Eco for 3 months. I have no complaints on this product so far. Hope it continues serving the good quality of water. I bought it from zheilwane's shop in Kepong. He is a genuine seller and very happy with his prompt response service.

Since you from Puchong, well from your place to Amway HQ Shop (Jalan 223, Petaling Jaya) are quite near, you can check out the demo unit at there as well, I believe anyone of those that PM you are willing to guide you at there.

So far the products never fail me for the past 5 years, just happen to me 2-3 times that the electronics sensors in the water filter gone haywire, I got it 1-1 exchange for free. In details, is way better they explain to you.

I believe those who PMed you do use eSpring themselves, including me who used it for 10 years. The problem I encountered is the cartridge got problem. Send it back to HQ and got a new cartridge as replacement. Usually within 3 days will solve the problem.

So far so good, no issues at all with the filter only 2 - 3 cases got small issue during installation such as washer missing or connection thread issue.

You can sign up yourself through online way to become one of the them so that you can buy the other range products at distributor price. But my advise is better sign up through other active distributor as they can assists you if you run into some trouble for products returning/claims or warranty purpose. See if anyone PM u that they are near/closer to you, so you can reach them easily. smile.gif

Just think to contribute a bit, since I got a lot of information from this thread last year when I wanted to have water filter as well.

For the common people like us, who doesn't have any expertise in this field, I'm completely blank on water filter. That's why I tried to search it here in this forum to look for some information.

How do we know if a water quality is good? Unless you have the device to test it, how do you know if your water quality is good? Leave out the foul smell or the color of the water, a crystal clear water not necessary means good quality of water.

The effect of bad water quality will probably took effect in your body in a long run, so by using it for 1-2 years doesn't mean that you are using the correct water filter.

I was planning to have a direct water to drink from POU, and I did ask few questions back in this thread last year. The reason is for efficiency, no need to cook the water, safe a lot of time, also at that time I just have a son about 1.5 year old, of course I want nothing but the best for him.
And I got an answer also from this thread, go for a NSF certified water filter, so I try to research a bit about NSF, and up until then when I bought the water filter, Amway E-spring was the complete NSF certified water filter (NSF 42, 53 & 55). However concerning the water quality from Syabas, I also added another POE water filter 3M AP902, which also is NSF 42, just to ease up the filtration of the E-Spring.

And I got what I wanted, I could drink directly from the faucet, if you ask me if my water quality is good enough to drink? I also can't answer the question, but I have an ease of mind just basing on the NSF certified water filter I have. My family have been drinking the water since we move in until now.

Another thing I like about Espring is because they have an indicator of when you need to change the filter. Unlike the 3M AP902 I have, I don't know when is the best time to change it, and it's still working good, meaning not clogging, or causing the water pressure to be smaller than before.

By the way, I'm not Amway distributor/agent, I'm only a common water filter user, sharing what I've been using base on own experience.

True, that is why we will need to compare the product and also check on the lab test report / international certification to know whether the product is good or not.

Aquaphor Crystal Eco does not have NSF as this product is mainly targeted in European countries which LGA certification is already sufficient. In Malaysia, for cafes and restaurants some of them require local labtest done by labs accredited by the local MOH (some of my customers didnt require this). I have sent my filter for testing and i did upload the report online for reference. Sold several units to cafe/restaurant approved by MOH. Aquaphor Crystal Eco has been tested with international standard (LGA) and also our Local Lab approved by MOH. Therefore it is definitely a good quality water filter smile.gif

For members who are looking for even better filters, you can consider Aquaphor DWM101 (RO System) removes all impurities upto 0.0001 micron and this system is mainly sold in USA that is why they did obtain NSF standard 58 - Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Treatment Systems

I have a POE membrane filter that can filter up to 0.01 micron. Now I have POU 3M DWS2500 which can only filter 0.2 micron, I'm not sure is it redundant. Quite confused if I have installed correctly, anyone can enlighten me ?

0.01 micron at POE ? Not lowering water pressure in your kitchen and washing machine ??

As copied from website
"While reverse osmosis (0.0001 micron) is effective for removing a variety of contaminants in water, the reverse osmosis membrane alone does NOT remove volatile organic chemical (VOCs), chlorine and chloramines, pharmaceuticals, and a host of other synthetic chemicals found in municipal water"

Even with 0.0001 is not good enough, that is why even u have a 0.01 POE filter, you still need a good drinking filter.

You still need POU (point of use) for drinking or cooking purpose. That is why there are 2 terms, POE and POU.

I have already installed DWS-2500 as POU but my usage is heavy because of frequent home cooking usages, less than 6 months I already need to change the DWS filter. Now, I'm thinking is it a need for me to install another POU for food preparation and soup/cooking purpose which can last for more capacity such as the Easy Cyst (2000 gallons) or Solo. Please advise experts...

Good news to you. 3M recently introduced a new affordable POU drinking water filter called CTM-01. Available exclusively at Tesco for an introductory price of RM340. Normal selling price is RM399. The package c/w necessary tubing, faucet adaptor for instant counter top installation. ( can be installed undersink too)
The filter head is silmilar to that of my existing 3M AP Easy Complete, therefore I can use my C-complete cartrige for CTM-01 as well. For those who plan to buy the RM800 3M easy complete starter set, hold your horse, you can save some $$$ with 3M CTM-1 + C-Complete replacement cartridge.

CTM-01 is an affordable branded PUO filter option good for second POU, office, student, rented premises, portability.
I just bought 2 units for office and second POU purposes.

BTW, CTM-01 is tested in accordance with NSF 42/53 standards only, that's why it is cheap. Replacement cartridge is about RM150ish. if You want NSF certified, replace it with NSF certified C-Complete cartridge in your next cartrige replacement.
