But I'm not stopping people to dine outside, just dine lesser and cook at home, cheaper and most important, healthier.

My Mbb Mastercard Ikhwan has been approved and self-collected at branch next Monday.

tomolo will be the last day for Mbb to make an official announcement.
If it's true about the 5%, AEON Watami will be my next card.

Since when aeon Watami gives 5%? I thought they give only 3%?

Read his post again, he didn't mention anything about Watami gives 5%.

even dining aso cancel, basically this is just a reward card 5x treatpoints, equivalent to 1.25%? Not attractive already.
Soon 8.88% finance charge will be removed?

wait till 1 August until all their documents, website, social media channels are published to the public

then we can see what are the actual changes.

for now, they removed the category or whatnot from the notice is just to manage expectation (i.e. anger from customers). they might/might not include category-specific cashback.

one thing for sure: come 1 Aug, cashback for m2card amex will be reduced tremendously.

1) Do i need to activate any settings for Amex so i can swipe for my hotel?

Don't think MBB's PR is that bad. MBB normally would pre-annouce any benefit changes. Majority of the cardmembers still don't know about MBB stopping weekend CB for MBB2Amex.
