I've been to Bangkok twice, one one year 2006 (5 days trip) and the other is January this year (3 days trip, basically a shopping and makan trip). To me bangkok is like a shopping paradise (shoes are cheap, bags are cheap, t-shirts are cheap!!) and their food are super NICE!!!!!! the mango salad, the tom yam kung, oh my.. i miss bangkok!!

If you are interested to know more about my Bangkok Trip, check out my blog, from day 1 to day 3.

Hmm...Going to BKK tomorrow flight. This time bring parent and sister together.
But the unfortunate part is PAD protest. Any1 in ground zero there can confirm the protest only near Gov. Offices and not spread to tourist area.

Thank a lot!!

Chiang Mai - Northern tribes (Karen/Hmong & long nect), Nite bazaar, cheapest massage in Thailand, Biggest water fall, Highest mountain & more Northern Thai temples (Older than those in BKK)

For those fearing the worst..dun worry-lah, those Thai coup are not new....few years once. I was in BKK Jul 2007 and there was a huge demo also at Govt offices...dun even know & dun feel it until I was bck in my hotel room... biggrin.gif

im flying to bangkok this saturday. DON CARE ANYMORE. failed to call air asia and don wan to call anymore.

riot is not fresh in bangkok n it happens all the time. the state of emergency is nothing but just give the army control over the crowd. just don go goverment building area and its only serious among protesters. i went there last time when there was a riot a couple years back. n its nothing around tourist areas.

so, i have decided to GO!!!

Hi everyone... first, wanna say great and informative thread here! thumbup.gif

I went through most of the posts, but can't seem to find some info I need -- what kind of hidden surcharges can I expect for flights to Bangkok? I'm planning a trip next year in March/April. I believe Air Asia is having their super-cheap tickets promos that start from 1 April, but it doesn't include taxes and fares. How much would these come up to? And what about fuel charges?

Hope someone can help. smile.gif

Just click and follow the procedures until the payment part where you don't pay.
that way you would know how much is the total amount payable.

My fren took the dinner on cruise before. Her comment is the place is nice + food is alright + scene is GOOD!
Accordingly to her, she depart from River City and it cost about rm100

If lucky ( that my trip not cancel in next next week ), I may able to try myself too
