anyone staying at Baiyoke Boutique hotel before? I never been to Bangkok but will visit this coming September. Now looking for a clean and convenient hotel.
I have shortlisted 2 hotel actually. one is Take A Nap Hotel (www.takeanaphotel.com) which only cost ThaiBath 800 for double room (Double S size)...located at Silom.
And another one Baiyoke Boutique hotel...which located near shopping area....MBK, Platinum, etc...per nite stay is about RM140 for double bed room.

Anyone stay at these two hotels before? Can give some comments or review on it?
Actually i thought of staying at Take A Nap for my whole trip....but i don't know the exact place...so worry if it is not convenient...anyone stay there before? is there any train station nearby??

there is no centralized place for those places or maybe u would wanna try baiyoke tower.  i recommend getting a hotel closeby the skytrain so that u can cut budget on transport. or else maybe use bus or underground train. other than that, transport isnt a problem. bangkok is roaming with taxis. just get a taxi and go shopping the whole day and come back during night time.

cheap goodies open on sat and sun is definately chatuchak market. everything is cheap and still can haggle somemore. thinking about it just makes me wanna go back hahaa.

have fun!

is Baiyoke Boutique Hotel near skytrain?? unsure.gif

you still need to take a short taxi journey to reach skytrain from baiyoke. its easier if u just take a taxi especially if first time in bangkok.

oh....means it is not within walking distance, am i right? sweat.gif
yeah..im first time...thats why looking for good location hotel with reasonable price and clean. smile.gif
however, is baiyoke boutique hotel near to those shopping area? how far suan lum market from baiyoke boutique then? rolleyes.gif
also...anyone know about take a nap hotel? is the location strategic? clean? any review on this? rolleyes.gif

i think pratunam area is ok. there's no shortage of taxi and motocycle taxi, easy to go anywhere. the only problem is food, only one food court in that area and the food sucks. never notice any eating stalls around that area. get a bangkok map at the BTS station and you'll see pratunam its not that far of a walk to the nearest station - Chit Lom - the one in front of Inter Continental hotel. The other station is a bit far - Ploen Chit. you are only one station away from Siam where Siam square and MBK are located. There's a TESCO in the MBK area with a selection of restaurant and a food court. Pratunam is always lively, sunday morning especially, and its not that far from Khao San.

take a nap looks like a new budget hotel. maybe worth checking out and staying for a night and share it with us here.

Thank you very much for your info. It seems like the baiyoke boutique is not that strategic then. wink.gif
Now i found another hotel, Reno Hotel. http://www.renohotel.co.th/data/overall.html
from the map location, it seems like quite strategic ..... just opposite MBK, i suppose??? i don't know as i never been there. and the price also quite reasonable and the hotel looks clean too. most importantly, seems like Reno Hotel is quite near to National Stadium or Siam BTS station??? rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

do anybody here know about this hotel, Reno Hotel?? rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Padthai meaning Thai Fried. It can be in the form of Hor fun/kueh teow or even beehoon/ glass noodle. Sourly sweet taste & topped wth crunch peanuts.

Yeah..I really luv Padthai. U can find it everywhere in BKK, but the best I tasted is the Padthai at the MBK foodcourt - Only 35Bath when I was there in Ju'07. Right now dunno how much  hmm.gif The padthai at Secret Recipe Bkk also equally good but at premium..about 120bath!

Hi all,

my girls and I ( 3 of us ) will go Bangkok next month, but we kinda stuck on the question where to stay...  rclxub.gif
Need some recommendation on a good place for us to crack for 3 nite.

Since we are travel in 3 and free-N-easy ( Basically we want to go BKK to shop  blush.gif  ), looking for a place that can provide 3 bed in room / add bed service. The budget of total cost for each person is approximate Rm140-180 and nothing more.

So far, we only know about the 'takeanap' ( but there is no 3 bed in a room ) and Reno Hotel.
Can anyone share me some lights / ideas where to stay and whether Reno is okay ?? Tripadvisor review said Reno is worse hotel, so we kinda lost .

icon_question.gif

Thank you very much

PS : I kinda busy so no time to read thru the forum.  sweat.gif
Thanks for the help

i also going to bangkok this end of sept. at first i also thought of take a nap. but i worry its quite far distance from the shopping area. then i think of reno hotel. yeah....tripadvisor says very worse like that....but my brother in law said actually not bad (they went end of last yr) and good thing is the location. walking distance to all the shopping area..... sweat.gif

Hmm yea a little bit on the high side.
But it saves you a lot of hassle and other travelling expenses.

Oh, dun forget to go for massage.. foot reflexology, back massage etc. It's very relaxing, and CHEAP!!!!
If u stay at AsiaHotel it's just round the corner, or the next street (i forgot). but within 50meter radius, the whole row of massage parlours.

i thought of going foot massage after walking for hours for shopping...so i will looking for foot massage!! hehe..

erm....Reno Hotel is quite a good choice i guess. Rate about Thai Bath 1180 (for standard room). Opposite of the hotel is National Stadium MRT station and also just opposite MBK.
