takaful is sort of insurance protection right?
if yes,..you paid the insurance companies for that coverage....
you think you can get back "all your sumbangan"?
maybe "yes" during the cooling off period.

What is 'Takaful'
Takaful is a type of Islamic insurance, where members contribute money into a pooling system in order to guarantee each other against loss or damage. Takaful-branded insurance is based on Sharia, Islamic religious law, and explains how it is the responsibility of individuals to cooperate and protect each other.

not sure if only sick/dead can get back...maybe they have some endowment type? but maybe not thru this SSPN-i.

regarding this point:

2. Ibu bapa yang membuat taksiran berasingan dan telah membuka akaun simpanan SSPN-i berasingan atas anak yang sama diberikan pelepasan sehingga maksima RM6,000.00 seorang setahun;

do I need to open 2 sspn accounts (me and wife) separately on the same son to enjoy 6k tax relief each?

Terms & conditions to opening an SSPN-i account

Depositor and beneficiary must be Malaysian citizen

Depositor also can open account for himself as beneficiary;

Each depositor can only open one account for same beneficiary;

Beneficiary must be 1 day up before reaching the age of 29 years;

Beneficiary who have had accounts open by depositor can open an account for himself or to open an account for any other citizen. This means beneficiary at the same time can be a depositor; and

Different depositor is allowed to open an account for the same beneficiary and no limit on the number of accounts for each beneficiary.

"owner" of a/c = parent
beneficiary = kid

Thus
ParentA AND Kid01 = account number #1
ParentB AND Kid01 = aacount number #2
OR
ParentA AND Kid01 = account number #1
ParentA AND Kid02 = account number #2

kapeesh?

normally you have to open the account together with your name in it, something like joint account
in this case, do we both need to open the "joint" account, means there will be 2 accounts for 1 kid
6k in 2 accounts each, or 12k in one account only...

anyone got the experience?
