Speaking about cassette... price I got from supplier,

Daikin 2HP R32 inverter RM4330
Daikin 2.5HP R32 inverter RM4500
Daikin 3HP R32 inverter RM4760

Mitsubishi 2HP R410a inverter RM3450
Mitsubishi 2.5HP R410a inverter RM3680
Mitsubishi 3HP R410a inverter RM3950

Installing 1x 3HP (living hall), 1x 2HP (dining hall) and 1x 2.5HP (master bedroom). Looks like cheaper to go with the Mitsubishi option here, R410a vs R32 inverter... big diff? or not enough to cover the differences anyways.

Cassette AC the 4way IDU has a blind spot right below the IDU.
Suggest to take the round flow type for more even airflow pattern.

Like this?

https://www.daikin.com.my/daikin_products/fcf-c-series/

I was thinking to get the Mitsubishi R410a inverter to save cost a bit haha... and able to use my existing piping... these Daikin FCF 9.52 and 15.88 from 2HP onwards.

Reading from some of the previous discussion here, seems like multisplit AC is fully depending of the users need.

I'm looking into replacing my new condo AC to multisplit coz developer put it 3 unit at balcony, 1 unit at yard; no AC ledge available.
I have to replace the 1 at yard so that i can install sliding windows at yard to turn it into an indoor condition...

after soem searching, seems like only Daikin & Panasonic have multisplit model?
and i only see people discussing here about Daikin one, anyone know about Panasonic one?

Anyone experiencing unable to connect to smart control ? I had installation done yesterday and since then trying to connect to smart control but it kept saying trying to resend configuration - connection timed out. I also use 2.4 and 5, both not working anyway. Tried everything including calling daikin, turning on bluetooth, manually type wifi etc, they say going to get technician to contact me but i doubt it's gonna be fast.

So asking here if anyone got solution ?

Technically not that hard but there is the commonrail (BP) junction boxes for gas pipes and electric cables - see https://www.daikinac.com/content/assets/DOC...eering-Data.pdf from page 84 onwards.

However one should question them on the spec of the materials used, copper pipe what thickness, what brand (preferably at min 0.71 acson/daikin pancake) as this is about the best economical option available locally

and cables using good stuff like mega kabel or caramay OR using non certified crap laugh.gif

Daikin FFR15C (1.5hp) R410 inverter will be a good starting point. Needs optional wifi module AWM61A01
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/free-gif...6462648316.html

About RM 2669 + another 110 for the wifi module + installation estimate at 250-300 up.
It should come with 2 years premium cloud + revert to free version after that if not mistaken.

List of retrofits for Daikin series here : https://www.daikin.com.my/smart-control/

----

Else the Acson 2hp non inverter btu spec is on point (18500btu). ACSON A5CK20F-WIFI
https://shopee.com.my/ACSON-A5CK20F-WIFI-A5...6337.7855043986

Sizing also depending on your room space (including ceiling height) and how do you use the AC at (if set at 16C all day then no diff between inv and non inv) vs (25C nominal then get inverter will be more comfortable feeling, less stuffy).

----

Cassette AC with Wifi control kinda limited selection. Mostly Daikin, Pana, and Acson models are common in the market.

Thanks for the reply!

Do you have recommendation for Panasonic? Say if I relax the requirements a bit and can go without inverter? I have researched the Daikin's, but apparently for Malaysian shore(Oversea Daikin has different WIFI module), it has a closed API for the WIFI control as it is being locked behind the premium Cloud subscription (Paid premium to buy the aircond still need to pay for subscription shakehead.gif ). I have experience with Pana and can confirm I can tape into the WIFI API without restriction.

Thanks once again!

I am using Panasonic in my house and I have both inverter & non-inverter. If you want comfort when using the AC, I would highly recommend to buy the inverter one. Non-inverter ones are normally comes with very basic specs which might not be comfortable enough for some people. For example, my non-inverter comes with 3 speed fan, even in "quiet" mode, it is still noisy. My inverter AC on the other hand, is quieter than the "quite" mode in non-inverter at the lowest speed (5 speed altogether).

Yes if I am given a choice I will definitely go for Inverter. The situation I have right now is I have a very niche requirement of WIFI enabled airconds for the smart home system. Hence willing to compromise on other aspects. Thanks anyway.

Most panasonic inverter models can be installed with WIFI receiver with additional RM200++ (I might be wrong on the price).

hi sifus, what's a good aircon hp for the following room sizes:

master bedroom 17' x 12' - is 1.5hp enough?
living room + dining 36' x 13' - is 2.5hp enough?

both ceiling heights are around 10ft, if that helps.

secondly, is there any alternative for the Panasonic X Deluxe (XPU10WKH, XPU13WKH, XPU24WKH) in terms of feature set? (r32 inverter, ioniser/purifier). looking at sharp, mitsubishi and hitachi but they either lack the same feature set or are more expensive.

any recommendations? icon_question.gif
