Hey guys, any feedback regarding the York 1.0HP inverter model (YWM5J10F / YSL5J10), in terms of durability, noise level & energy efficiency?

Planning to get one soon and got quoted for RM1250 (with installation), quite a reasonable price I think.

Much appreciated with any advice, Thanks!

PS: 3rd pic is York 1.0 non-inverter, but similar design with the inverter model (YWM5J10F / YSL5J10).

Go with Daikin = still original York.
Latest York = OEM brand now.

Guys.. which one more practical? exclude cost of installation

1 - Buy Non Inverter Aircond 1hp (lets say York brand) - RM 750 (Lazada price)
2 - Buy Inverter Aircond 1hp (mitsubishi or Pana) - RM 1,500 (Lazada price)
in a long run let say 3 years plus maintenance cost which can save moneh the most?

if item 1 can save RM 750 divide by 3 years(36 months) I can have extra RM 21 to pay my TNB bill
if item 2 fork our additional RM 750 (compare to non inverter model) so theoretically I should have lower TNB right? by how much ?

i believe the lazada 750 is on gas r410a right?

just got my electricity bill. much higher than expected T_T

would a malfunctioning/dying capacitor have an effect on that? using more electricity?

Don't use R22 to help save ozone, think of our next generations that need to walk outside without using UV umbrellas.
*
R22 is just a small aspect, reducing CO2 emission still the only way to reduce air cond usage.

english ok wor...

i think perhaps its the coils were dirty maybe? i also dunno. the fan seems ok.  am considering whether to change AC or not to an inverter model as its a small room. the current one is a Haier and already like 5+ years. but damn good. so cold. i sleep with it on 27-28 hahaha. if 16 sure mampus beku. so maybe its just overpowered or something  sweat.gif but the guy just cleaned the compressor unit so hopefully everything will reduce next month. will keep monitoring.

If using non inverter, capacitor failure sure will resulting to more current consumption. As the capacitor is a storage bank for the initial start up of the outdoor unit. Happen to mine last time.
When it trying to kick start the outdoor unit, it will draw the most current and because of the capacitor can't store enough energy, it will keep on energizing until the unit starts. For 2 weeks run because of this, my bill was rm10 higher.
When talking about air cond's efficiency, everything comes in to play, buying rm18 of DIY air cond cleaner will do wonders most of the time.

For air cond, is better buy from shop, in case any problem, you can go straight to them. Buying online are good and cheap but when you have problems, you will know the pain. Because the installer will blame the air cond even with the fact is their mistakes.
