I would like to replace my 20yearold Sanyo 1.5HP aircon in my 500sqft living room with either a rm1600 Daikin FTK15M(15HP invertor) OR rm1400 Daikin FT15MV1(1.5HP non-invertor). I will use it occasionally for about 2 hours/day and on special occasion 8 hours. I know it is underpower but based on these prices which of these is a better choice.

Anybody purchased air cond from Courts with the recent promotion ?

Interestingly there is a mentioned of RM 1 for installation.

How about delivery charge ?

Since typical installation charge is about RM110 or so, can get RM100 pricing difference buying from courts.

For example, the Sharp Air cond AHA9PCV at RM 789 with 3 years warranty.

Any comment ?

Closeup on the coil after takeout the dirty filter.

After detergent wash the filter and vacuum the coil.

So do I need to pay extra for an additional filter every month?

Ok I got my answer. No fat frogs jumping around. The RM 1 for installation is excluded for most of the cheaper models.
So it's just a marketing gimmick.

There is also a charge of RM59 for delivery.

Whoever need pricing comparison watch out for it.

Boss if you have more than 4 units of Aircon then you would do the same..

But make sure don't change after the filters turn into dark
color with thicken dust layer on top of filters as well

More than that.

According to the info I got from the branch, if there is a little printed clause saying installation is not included, then you can't add the RM1 into it. However, the customer care said different thing. The customer care says yes, it's available in Klang Valley.

Based on the principle of "no fat frogs are jumping around", I take the former, ie can't add RM 1 to it to get installation. That's why I say it's a gimmick.

Lately, I made some renovation on my house and concealed aircond pipe into the wall.

Suddenly aircond become not cold and I ask the guy who conceal the aircond to check but he was very busy then I call other person.

The new guy check and repair the aircond, but said that the aircond concealed with the nut. Later if want to service aircond, or change new aircond, I need to re hack wall again.

How can I know that which guy is true? Concealed with nut? Anybody can explain more?

Aircon installation charges case by case basis. Inverter insulation is thicker than non-inverter type. The distance of the blower to the compressor normally is 10 feet. Longer than 10 feet will be more expensive.

My contractor charged me RM280 for back to back installation (10 feet) 1HP inverter aircon.
