Consider in short term is still consider ok.

Such as usage when hot weather.

If wanna more durable just go with MHI, Pana basic std or Daikin basic will do

Price almost double.

Hi guys I plan to install hisense airconds to my condo unit meant for rental. As they are cheaper.

But I also worry about perception issue of the tenants.

Anyone care to comment ? It is worthwhile ?

Go for most common brand lah.

Get Daikin not inverter cooling King
As least lesser issue for repair cost in long term
*
So it is indeed true that hisense will not last long and it's not just a perception issue ? It's real ?

For example once the PCB kaput, u might can't tahan the repair cost over than what you pay for slighly higher price
*
Based on the internet pricing :-

Hisense : Rm600.

Daikin : Rm 900.

That's a 300 difference. If there is a PCB kaput after 5 years for hisense and nothing kaput for daikin, maybe the PCB will cause Rm300. I guess it's still OK.

But you still never has the experience of tenants keep calling you ask for help Aircon serving, not longer cold of something else, that is future maintenace fee too
*
My house mitsubishi also every now and then not cold. Then the electrician just come and fix it. Most of the time he just change the capacitor. The capacitor is probably RM30 or something, he will bill me Rm200 or something. cry.gif

Cause fixed speed is controlling by fan/motor capacitor only.

If inverter don't have it issue.

That is why prefer you install Daikin cooling King, who ever stay also feel more class
*
Daikin cooling King the cheapest model will still be based on fan/motor capacitor. And then if condo, the electrician will probably charge more because they might be located outside ( and dangerous ) location.

LOL now you realise it issue already.

So you might consider for Pana inverter basic model only
*
I have no experience using inverter air cond. Do you mean inverter model will have less trouble on the outdoor unit ?

So far mine all Aircon was inverter even serving or changed parts, never did before.
Now has 5-6 yrs old... I just did water jet spray on condenser coil fins to be clean out my self for dirty dust only.

The rest is forget it
*
I think my mitsubish also did not have problem in the first few years. But maybe after first capacitor failed, the replacement capacitor was not reliable. So it seem to fail more after first failure.

i doubt the tenant is particular with a/c brands. i have fujiaire, sharp, lg, york, panasonic, haier a/c in my condos, never seen any complain about brands, as long as they are cold they should be happy about it. 1hp hisense is around rm500, sharp basic now is around rm700. installation is around rm150/each. even washing machine i usually provide sanyo brand only.
*
Thank you for the insight. I am trying to find the justification to go for the Hisense. RM500 is a lot of difference compared to RM1000. Apparently RM500 might be just 1 promotional unit, additional units could be higher price.

It doesn't save your money. It is either you pay high price, save later or get low price, pay higher later.

It is up to you.
*
There is some truth in what you say. But as far as aircond is concerned, I tend to believe usage is another BIG factor. If the place is a very dusty area, it tends to break down faster due to lack of scheduled cleaning and maintenance. And it happens that the breakdown is on a cheaper brand, people tend to think say "you see, it's cheap brand, so it breaks down!". Breakdown on the more expensive brand, people will say "yeah, I only got the breakdown now, if cheaper brand if would have breakdown earlier!"

usually i take common brand as they are cheap as well, i only have basic haier 1hp before, also i have used more than 5 yrs w/o issue. the rest of china brand never used before such as midea and hisense nvr used before and i think midea used to give 3 full yrs warranty.
*
Warranty will vary according to where you purchase things from.

I spoke to a shop keeper he said the Hisense and Midea have 2 year warranty for indoor unit and 5 years warranty for outdoor unit.

And online order, being cheaper, I think they just offer 1 year warranty, even for the common jap design brands.

Since you have decided hisense brand, then just consider for thier premium specs of inverter unit HAC-10TGI dunno how cool is it
*
I think that model is not available online.

Midea: Midea 1.0HP Neola Inverter Air Conditioner With Ionizer MSN-09CRDN1. RM 999.00.

tmc, since you are renting out, get the basic model will do. if inverter board have problem that is going to hassle the tenant. since you are willing to up the cost, get those from york cooling king or daikin cooling king. i think it around 800+.
*
I think that way too. But since kimsim asked about inverter aircond, I just "entertain" him a bit. blush.gif

Anybody purchased air cond from Courts with the recent promotion ?

Interestingly there is a mentioned of RM 1 for installation.

How about delivery charge ?

Since typical installation charge is about RM110 or so, can get RM100 pricing difference buying from courts.

For example, the Sharp Air cond AHA9PCV at RM 789 with 3 years warranty.

Any comment ?

Ok I got my answer. No fat frogs jumping around. The RM 1 for installation is excluded for most of the cheaper models.
So it's just a marketing gimmick.

There is also a charge of RM59 for delivery.

Whoever need pricing comparison watch out for it.
