THE TWO ASPECTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Essential Aspect for Life

The Spirit has two aspects - the essential and the economical aspects. Essential means relating to the essence, necessary to the constitution and existence, hence, of life and being. The essential aspect is that the Spirit would come into us, bringing us the divine essence to be our life and life supply. By this aspect we may live and have our being in God to express God. Man was made by God to have God’s life and to express God. This aspect of the Spirit fulfills that intention.

The Economical Aspect for Power

Economical means pertaining to the economy, necessary to the out-working of God’s household administration, hence, of power and work. The economical aspect is that the Spirit would clothe us with power so that we do God’s work of preaching the gospel, shepherding the young ones, perfecting the saints, and building up the church. Man was redeemed and regenerated to become partners of Christ in building up His church according to God’s economy. This aspect of the Spirit fulfills that requirement.

THE INWARD FILLING OF THE SPIRIT FOR LIFE

In John 14:16-17 Jesus said, “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter…even the Spirit of reality…shall be in you.’’ In John 16:7, He said further, “If I go I will send Him (the Comforter) to you.’’ Before the Lord’s death, He promised the troubled disciples that He needed to go to the cross in order for the Spirit of reality to be sent. The Spirit of reality was to be in the disciples to bring to them all the divine realities of the Father and the Son. This was fulfilled on the day of resurrection according to John 20:19-22, “When therefore it was evening on that day, the first day of the week…Jesus came and stood in the midst…He breathed into them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.’’ By the breathing in, the disciples received the Spirit of reality into them for life and life supply, since the Spirit is also the life-giving Spirit.

In Acts, the disciples continued to experience the inward filling. Acts 13:52 says, “And the disciples were made full of joy and of the Holy Spirit.’’ The Greek word used here is pleroo meaning filling inwardly to fullness. With the inward filling, we have joy as one of the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23).

THE OUTWARD FILLING OF THE SPIRIT FOR POWER

In Luke 24:49 the Lord Jesus said, “I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you…until you are clothed with power from on high.’’ In Acts 1:4-8 He also said, “Wait for the promise of the Father…you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.’’ He talked about the promised Spirit of power after His resurrection, before His ascension. Although the disciples had already received the Holy Spirit to be their life and life supply, they still needed the power of the Holy Spirit to work for God. In order to preach the gospel, they needed to bind the devil and loose the sinners, they needed boldness, and they needed various manifestations of gifts. Therefore, they must wait for the clothing of power by the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

This was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost according to Acts:2:1-4, “And when the day of Pentecost was being fulfilled…they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.’’ The Greek word used here for “filled’’ is pletho meaning filling outwardly. They were empowered by the outward filling. Right after that, they went out to preach the gospel with boldness and power. We all need this type of experience in our daily church life.

My daughter Augustina Lee been sick for more than a week.. rashes come n go come n go.. for 1 week de.. been to visit doctors fews time de.. n coughing with phlegm now... quite serius..

she dun wan take medicine tat the main issue.. n we found out tat dutchlady milk powder coz she to allegy(mayb batch got problem coz she taking it for more than 1yr de)

pls pray for the phlegm to be removed.. no more new rashes.. thks bro n sis

2. u had mentioned been visit doctor few time, is it private clinic or hospital eg, government/private base?

3. how did u find out she allergy to the dutchlady milk?

pls don't get offended with these question, I'm not from any company nor agent to ask. it just came out from my own because I just had a daughter newborn pre-mature 30w n 1d and now she is in NICU for the 18days. so when i sees u having a daughter so i just likes to know more.

Yup Agreed. The Holy Spirit is basically God with us literally. Just to add a little bit, the Holy Spirit operates on the wavelength of peace and love, so must we to flow consistently as a channel to reach out.

3. dun think she is allergy de.. tat day the rashes come out after she take milk.. so we jump to conclusion tat she is allergy to it. she hv 风膜 mostly...n too heaty

great to know your daughter doctor is from gov hospital, from "my experience" they r better than prv hospital. since they had provide medication.. hopefully your daughter will consume it and must get well!

Hi everyone, Today I would like you to digest this word and let it sink into your spirit, John 17:24.

This settles once and for all, the firm assurance God wants you to be Saved and to be in Heaven with Him.

God is the one who say this, God is the one who wants this, God is the one who ordains it and God is the one who wills it.

The people of this world do not know Him and and echoes in ignorance the voice of the father of lies saying God is cruel and wants people to be in Hell.

We know this is not true because we have his word.

Dear friends, the more you know of God's word, the more assurance you'll have of the Father's Love And his will for you to be in Heaven, that is how Faith comes and how faith operates in the kingdom of God.

We are mostly familiar with the verse in Romans 10:17 (KJV)

Faith cometh by hearing and by hearing the word of God.

But In the translation of of NIV, it says

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

This is by Far the most accurate because in the Greek it is the word Christos not the general noun God.

So Friends this is the secret how to have Faith in God, to believe in assurance of all his promises come into your life.

Keep on hearing the message and the word about Christ, See and study what He spoke, Digest all the works, all that Christ did when He came to be us with 2000 years ago. Don't simply take and pick any part of God's word in the Bible and think Faith will come. No Faith comes by Hearing and Hearing Christ Jesus.
