In this thread we discuss about GPS for all device no matter which model you are using now. You can ask here or if you need specific info about your device you can search it by your pda model at WM specific discussion.

For start may be you drop in here. You can try other model setting (try and error) perhaps you will find the right setting for your device.

Which nuvi series you're using? Please refer to here the no of mapset and naming
convention of the map you can use.

I have been using IGO 8 and Garmin on my GPS set. For the past two days I have not been able to lock on to my GPS positions. On the screen, it shows up the satellites as yellow and red dot but none has been able to turn on to green.

Previously I could have 6-7 green dots even in my house near to the window in under 10 seconds! Now for the past 2 days, I was not able to get a single green dots.

Is there a problem with the external satellites signal or is it just my GPS set. If the problem is my set, is it a hardware or software problem?

I have been using the Acer DX900 for GPS navigation for the last 3 weeks.

It has excellent GPS satellite detection. Indoors in about 20 seconds and outdoors in about 10 seconds. I am using Garmin XT Mobile.

Have you try checking your time zone. When you are using GPS, it always correcting your PDA time. Perhaps your PDA time zone was not Malaysia time zone.
