QUOTE(WildChai @ Apr 7 2009, 05:39 PM) Hi all, I am using gmxt with my nokia phone and find that hassle without touchscreen. but still works. instead of buying a full fledge gps unit, i was thinking of getting a used PDA and install either GMobilePC or GMXT on it. but using an external bluetooth gps receiver. All i need now is a PDA....any recommendations? since I might be using a GMobilePC....any windows PDA works? thanks For PDA recommendation, you can use the pinned thread. If your gonna get a PDA with GPS function, i suggest getting one which has built rather than getting one and using an external unit for a receiver.

For Sony Ericsson, what GPS software they are using? Does that 3 months usage for map or GPS service? Added on April 10, 2009, 7:28 amQUOTE(gavinfernando @ Apr 10 2009, 12:09 AM) Since you are using PDA with built-in GPS, you need to pay for the software. I`ve suffered this prob with my 5800 before, when sent back to Nokia, said the receive damaged due to heat produced when using TV out... Try and reinstall ur app, or try a diff one. If the prob still got, send back for warranty claims, as its hardware

Our vehicle obviously faster than our location shown on GPS software.. regardless what software or GPS device u're using.. but its not going to be too far, i think max is 10meter depend on ur speed.. anyway try these settings on ur Garmin MXT to get more accurate position Tools>Settings>Map>Show Location>ON ROAD

As for now, 2 site offered free Garmin map. Malsingmaps.com and Malfreemaps.com. You can visit both site and choose which site offered map that suit your need.

As for current, using Malfreemaps.com give your nice view while navigation (all the custom POI and a lot of polygon).
But if you are using original Garmin device (Mobile XT or GPSr), using Malsingmaps.com map that compile by Garmin will give more accurate navigating (the best compiler for Garmin amp what Garmin compiler). But you need to get your unlock code from Garmin website (for free, no need for contribution, just original Garmin software and device).

Hope I'm not slowpoke... For those using GarminXT can download F1 car as well, but too bad currently only McLaren... http://www.malfreemaps.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2647I've downloaded, it works, does not look like McLaren so much, so F1 fans who don't support McLaren can rename the file (to forceindia, or Toyota etc) and use it. In real time, can't see the F1 too clearly, if it was a red ferrari even worst due to the 'pink' route. For what its worth, I prefer the original blue car instead. Dun forget abt the custom POI abt the speedtrap etc. from mfm. http://www.malfreemaps.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1042This post has been edited by azbro: May 17 2009, 08:52 PM

Question guys,
I'm planning to get a PDA phone with GPS, either HTC or Samsung, i heard from somebody that those GPS that is built in, will activate 3G or HSPDA, means....kena charge for the data. But after browsing a lots of thread here, i just can't be sure, i read GPS...no charge...AGPS charge. So...which one is which one ? Will HTC or Samsung phone GPS get charges for data if use GPS ?
