There must be a way to route this temp file to external storage instead.

I hope you can find one and share it here. I have uninstalled Popcorn Time because it is basically useless for me due to the same limitation too.

Note: If you have an existing advancedsettings.xml file, make sure the <pathsubstitution></pathsubstitution> tags are between the main <advancedsettings></advancedsettings> tags.

Very soon i think...starting to get bored of this box dy.
Just using it to watch HyppTV which is also boring, most of the time also watching stuff on Ruby Pack only.

If you have ES File Explorer installed, it also comes with text editor called "ES Note Editor"... To create a text file:
*Open ES File Explorer.
*Navigate to the folder you wish to create/store the file in.
*Tap the "New" or "+" icon.
*Select "File". Then name accordingly.. Here's an example.. "testfile.txt".
*Select the newly created file and choose ES Note Editor to edit the text file.
*Type away.
*Profit!

I already suspected that it is from ES File Explorer.

according to the SoC specs, the hardware itself capable decoding HD audio; is it possible to enable "pass through" since the hardware able to recognize HD audio?

It's a pity that the box only plays max 720p for YouTube app. Any tweak to make it to play at least 1080p?

Scanned thru the specs sheet and there's no mention of passthrough capabilities. Also, being able to decode certain HD audio formats does not translate to supplying pure HD audio.. Typically means, it'll decoded the audio streams and possibly send out as perhaps PCM.

What a specs sheet says and what has been enabled or is supported by the firmware are different things. One has to remember, this is an extremely basic box, purchased & distributed to subscribers for one specific purpose.. TM's Hypptv Service.. So, if your requirements are more, then you'd have to invest in a proper android box or HTPC or truly "Smart" TV & an accompanying HT/AVR system that's compatible with such advanced audio processing..

You could try searching for a customized YouTube app version that does 1080p & runs on the device. Else, see above..

I received pop up message to clear up some space in the box.
I did that on the app menu page but however all setting in Kodi specifically Exodus went missing.
I'm not sure how it relate but i didn't delete the Kodi apps.
So in future what should i delete/clear if i receive the same request.

delete/clear the cache dont delete/clear data you will loose everything (custom builds, repos etc ) except the default build
