like i said.. it a simple basic command just to give people an idea (heck i put xxx just for reference, why u take it seriously??).. you can debugging usb using apps like kodi/myiptv and access directly to the hidden android setting. or using launcher or advance setting in wifi. plenty of way around to the so call restricted STB (you just need to think outside the box).. it have been done and plenty of people has success.. if you don't want to believe, up to you.

We obviously dont have any launcher to use and I dont know where this advance setting in wifi you are talking about. hmmm..

You can't even get to the Android settings cause the HyppTV stock option doesn't let you select it.

True.. In the past, one would have to download the full development kit just to be able to connect via ADB/fastboot and pass commands via terminal to android devices, having met certain criteria. Google finally provided a standalone version and the page above describes how to install it on a PC/Mac.
*Download zip.
*Extract to a particular folder
*Run command line
*Navigate to the extracted folder.
*Run ADB commands..

Bruh...Nthg serious.. Just stating the obvious. I'm familiar with Android's ADB & Fastboot. Been playing since Android's Ecliar release and have owned several devices since then.. All modded from day one. Be it custom kernels, or ROMs or even complete OS swaps like that obtainable from the mighty HTC HD2. So yeah, pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. If it was a simple basic command, it would have been done..

Now if you were writing about booting into recovery/download mode and making modifications from there.. I'd believe if there's something to believe...

Exactly... I did connect an external mouse and clicked like a madman all over the "Wifi" & "About" section in settings.. Hoping to trigger the hidden Developer Options mode. No luck. Current launcher is stock and doesn't allow any additional mods.

Is this done with the latest update of TM? Where they've removed the Play Store? If yes, how did you enter this Setting?

Just install today... The 1st thing installer do is update.. and result is I got empty box...

And how is this done from an entirely stock config? Keyboard/mouse combo? By stock, I mean.. No file explorer or play store, default launcher, crippled browser, no access to new maintenance code, etc.. Please enlighten us.

There are 2 categories after the hypptv box updated,

Category (1) not affect either already disable auto update url, or file explorer still can use.

Category (2) having a box without play store, and all prior file manager and download manager blocked.

Those who still got file explorer or Kodi.. should be no issue la... since still can sideload or go to settings in Kodi...

Now we are talking about those who got forced update and got no file explorer, no Kodi.. no nothing.

Just some bragging posts but no clear steps... will not help...

wanna ask, my mother in law has had her hypptv box off for the past few months, I'm assuming it wouldnt have been auto updated then?

Is there a way for me to disable the auto update feature?

I'm thinking of unplugging the ethernet cable but the box has wifi as well right?
