category tagging has nothing to do with the month of transaction

You pay at the counter or you swipe your card at the pump ?
Normally, the terminal at counter is not tag as Petrol (may be they selling other things in the shop so they have diff terminal / account)

Nope, some petrol station's pump side are using different category, but this is very rare. Only happen to me once in Seremban's station.

Now that Digi bill payment uses Mobile 88, would it recognize as mobile phone category?

My digi trnx before have gone thru financial link as well as mobile 88. Both are under mobile category. Just be sure the merchant statement name starts with Digi and you shall be fine.

for HLB Wise's MOBILE category cashback identification, the name of the merchant MUST present in transaction description.

tx stands for transaction.
you have to swipe min rm50x 10 times in any transaction regardless of category to enable your 10% cash back.
for the 10% cash back, only transaction that belongs to mobile and 2 of your choosing category will be entitled for cash back.

Just to update topping up T&G card in Tesco Seremban. There will be no transaction fee when we top up(my bad, forgot to ask what is the minimum amount).
But the bad thing is, cashier with this facility either closed or does not accepting credit card(with terminal but cannot use).
