yep, very small market. Average joe will think we're stupid buying a RM4.5k monitor instead of a 60" 4K TV

QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 11 2017, 09:06 AM) Good to hear Acer got a comparable service as Dell (on monitor RMA). Just grab a GTX1080 Ti, now just waiting for last piece of puzzle - an 34" ultra-wide monitor to complete my new build for this year. haha I at cross roads now 2 get the 1080TI first or 2 get 4k monitor first I still don't buy the ultrawide hype since even consoles and smartphones will be 4k ready soon |

QUOTE(skylinelover @ Aug 14 2017, 06:31 PM) haha I at cross roads now For my personal preference, 4K is not that suitable as a monitor - it is DPI kinda too high for a 32" 16:9 monitor (max monitor size I can tolerate). If go bigger at 40", then have to stay quite a distance from the monitor which will defeat the purpose of large monitor, might as well just get a 60" 4K TV. Not to mention 4K resolution will need higher end GPU to drive it.2 get the 1080TI first or 2 get 4k monitor first I still don't buy the ultrawide hype since even consoles and smartphones will be 4k ready soon In the contrary, 4K on TV is understandable as you will sit 2-3 meters away from it, so higher res on the larger 60-70" TV is always better. 4K on the mobile phone? What's the point? Can't really see much difference between my S8+ 6.2" 1440p and Mi Max 2 6.4" 1080p. Unless of course if you put the screen 2 inches from your eyes (as in the case of VR). |

QUOTE(silrave @ Aug 16 2017, 02:53 AM) its just few pages back... QUOTE(drunkonpiss @ Aug 3 2017, 08:04 PM) Here's my quick review on the Crossover 3412UM. My goal towards gaming is always graphics-centered and immersion that's why I bought the monitor. The base is ripped out of the pages of Acer Predator haha! It still looks cool tho. Frames are brushed aluminum and sturdy. Don't expect too much on the fine details of it as there are edges that are uneven but it's no deal breaker. It may be just from the manufacturing. The monitor doesn't swivel however, it can still tilt until 90 degrees maybe? As for the colors, it may use the same panel AHIPS panel of LG. Coming from an LG monitor, the colors are very similar but you have to use and configure the settings according to your preference. One of the best things I like about the monitor is that you can OC it to 95hz with ease! No frame skipping and the frames are seamless when I did the test. Much better performance than my LG monitor. Another thing that I like is that it's cheap! I only paid RM 2,200 minus tax. If you're luck enough it'll be RM 2,400 in total Comparing it to my LG29UM68p monitor, am I happy, yes. am I satisfied, maybe. Am I impressed, No. The reason for those answers is that I thought jumping from a 2560x1080 will give you HUGE benefits in terms of visuals but it wasn't the case. If you have a keen eye on details, you may spot the difference but for fast paced shooters like Battlefield1 and Doom. It's not so much. The pixel density plays a big part I guess. To make it simple, 3440x1440 is the same as your 29 inch just a bit taller haha! if you have a 34 inch with a 1080p resolution, it looks crap to me. If you are using a 29 inch and you're satisfied with it, keep it and save the money. If you have the cash to spare, spend it wisely. |

Witcher 3 can hit average 60fps with high setting.I have always been gaming on a 1080p 60hz monitor If play in Ultra setting, it will be around 55 fps averagely. I game it with high setting for smoother movement. |

QUOTE(Lumiaaa @ Aug 18 2017, 01:01 PM) I doesn't have the games that you had mentioned but I believe 1070 can handle those games without problem. Worst case is just play with High settings instead of Ultra.Dota 2 shouldn't be a problem but it doesn't support 21:9 ratio. |

QUOTE(PowerSlide @ Aug 19 2017, 10:35 AM) You are planning to get X34A? I think my patience is wearing out too waiting for concrete news of availability of Z35P in Malaysia. Most likely will just get the X34A in early Sept if by then still no news at all for the Z35P to arrive. |
