After using G-sync and high speed monitor, I'll think G-sync are good investment, unless you're definitely not using nVidia in coming few years ( given monitors's typical life span at least few years ).
From what I read/research before jump in, anything above 75Mhz are obvious improvement over standard 60Hz. What I didnt know until after got X34A, is that G-sync helps even at low framerate like 40fps, it's just not the same 40fps anymore 

Sadly yeah, few hundreds ringgit higher than non-G-sync version.

X34 non-G-sync about few hundreds cheaper ( close to thousand    )

Quick question, is it true that HDMI cable could not project more than 60fps? I'm using a 75hz ultrawide monitor & not sure if I really need a display port.
