Yea i understand that but still if compare to the prepaid line is totally OMG. Still i will go for starhub when i go to singapore. If any better suggestion please let me know.. I would like to consider bout it..

Im hoping to get a HSDPA phone asap and i can use wifi all around and call using skype.. FOC FOC!!!
*
1. Does any brand of phone as long as got HSDPA it means sure can get Skype? I think the other person also must have Skype too right on his/her phone in order to be free? Basically what is the purpose of HSDPA? Is there phone with both HSDPA and 3G - so that I can see the other person too?

2. Doesn't this Singaporean thread deserve it's own sub-forum? What do you guys think , so that anyone thinking of goign to Singapore to work or what can go to the sub-forum ...otherwise there are so many info about Sgp in this one thread.

LlYN Admin, please consider.

Through referral? Classified jobs on website?

you need to get clear on 1 thing here..

HSDPA = 3.5 G
3G = 3G

yes if you wan to use skype the opposite oso must have.. for me if spend for 1 time for a HSDPA phone is worth it.. is not everytime u need HSDPA to run for skype. thats y i state WIFI.. if u at home or office which normally now in spore also will provide wifi. Starbuck, bus and even inside MRT now oso have wifi.. so practically is saving here.. rite? if you wan those which can view the opposite if using SKYPE or MSN Messenger stuff you need to check with the phone vendor or dealer for the phone spec.

In spore everything about money thats y is quite calculative among all. Thats why suggest better planning b4 moving to spore..

So, HSDPA is beter than 3G phones. OK.

By the way, when a person gets his PR, does he/she have to stay for certain number of days in Sgp per year? What are other requirements for a PR to maintain his status?

I am not sure whether you can get a copy of the SG's Straits Times Saturday edition. Its usually very thick every Saturday and especially year end and beginning of the year. Many people are looking or rather moving on to something new, challenging, or better pay jobs. So there arre plenty of vacanies on Saturday's paper.... In fact, much thicker than the main story section. Try there if you can get hold of a copy, even back dated news, you can still try. I did before. Its not like, cannot find the right fish, get a prawns kind of thing. Especially Big companies, they rather live without the staff than to get some subsititues and later screw up the picture. They would rather find the right person than have their clients mess and ruin their reputation...

Of course some posts, needless to say, can just be fill by any qualitied person... academically..

Many companies hire only local and PR. Except the reason of permit or EP application/renewal cumbersome, any other reason? I work in sg and thinking to switch job, but not sure if I should apply PR first sad.gif.

i advise you go for PR status before leave your old company. It is much easier to get a job compare to employment pass.
anywhere my pr expired and i'm currently working in msia. Im planning to renew my pr but was told i cant because i am not currently employed in SG ...sigh...
