Finally, breached the hold on point of USD40, 38.94 today.
Still, TS choose to ignore this fact.

Folks,
With the current state of the industry, how're things like on the training and development side in your companies ?
Do you still get to go for your regular planned courses or are they being cut down ?

Still ongoing but more conducted in-house.
I just came back from a vendor training, that would be our last for this year cry.gif

At least you've done some training so far. One of my HR colleagues said I need to focus more on "on the job" learning tongue.gif

So far training still maintain, but now don't hv time to go, only manage to go mandatory course BEM, for 3rd party don't hv time to go. One training I've applied got cancelled (Marcus@PetroEdge, forgot oledi) due to not enough candidate from other company. Some of my colleague still went for API certification course. Not sure next year.

yeah... in fact not really some, but a handful that includes all those safety trgs.
next year most of my mandatory safety trg expired so have to renew...but for vendor i dont think there will be much left.
new gas field development is there, scheduled to be on stream at 2018, but it's a very "low cost" project.

Yeah I've seen some courses getting cancelled at the last minute due to participants, very irritating if you've made plans and got approvals already.
Next year maybe only online courses cry.gif

Mandatory training courses will have to be maintained la boss smile.gif

About projects, yes it's only the lower cost projects or critical ones going ahead.
But I just keep wondering how Shell is steaming ahead on the Arctic drilling thing hmm.gif

very nice at least do in Bangi.
Mine only done in Miri, and it's a limited cert to my platform/location only (for the annual turnaround). company so smart takut we all berpaling tadah & use the cert to freelance elsewhere tongue.gif

Just got my DGR by air cert, passed and it's also valid for 2 years...hmm.
when thinking about it, we're sending more goods by sea. hopefully the IMDG training is planned for next year.
