how do i put a filter for the intake holes of the sidepanel?

a little bit off topic bit it's still lianli:
anyone tried the lianli psu?
*
Just grab a filter from uglyvamp that could be removed from the filter frame itself ...

There are people that bought and used LL PSU but never seen it in LYN ..

Personally speaking I have seen and touched the PSU in person.

It has certain quality for the cable, fan and PSU case, performance definitely better than lower end series of PSU.

Whether it's highly OC able or not, I would have to leave the question to those that really have used it. ..

no need to use it. its kinda hard to install the fan because on the wires coming from psu..
im thinking of closing it by using a aluminium fan filter..

I think coolice did use it for his OC demo at ATE right?Maybe someone can ask him whether its good or not about the LL PSU.

Anyway, went to ATE today to look for the patent side panel fan but ATE is out of stock. Apparently, PC-7 cannot use the BS-02 fan as the rear does not have holes. Only BS-03 is applicable..

@akachester
It's the side panel whole that u are referring to is absent.

If not mistaken they used Tagan 500watt PSU .. instead of LL psu ..

I'm not sure about the first OCdemo but I went for the 2nd OC Demo ...

They said 'just use back the same tagan psu lah'..

So I assumed there were using the same tagan PSU during the first OC demo...

U can setup the fan either way. If u think ur case need more fresh air, make it as intake else as exhaust like said by sHawTY. But if u setup as exhaust, make sure ur fan is powerful enough else u wont feel any air coming out from there as normally the rear 120mm fan will suck almost air out. I used a 80mm Panaflo M series fan on my previous G7. Worked real fine.

The way i put mine on the PC-7 is :

Front - Intake
Rear - Exhaust
Top - Exhaust

Just waiting to get my hands on a Side Fan for Intake and mine will be done but too bad ATE ran out of stock. Anyway, with my following configuration without the side fan, does it seem fine?Cause both my exhaust fan are those crazy Silverstone fan that blows out alot of air while intake is only a Noctua which is half the performance of the Silverstone.

After taking out every piece of hardware and reinstall them back, my 8800 suddenly is idling on 63c instead of the usual 58c i get last time. Would configuring the Top Fan to intake helps?Would it be a problem having too many exhaust and only one intake?Cause AFAIK, i have 3 exhaust (rear, top, PSU) and one intake only..

i turn my only front intake as full speed, while the top and the rear exhaust at minimum speed, so that front intake can help brings in more air...but all this for nothing...the temperature remains almost the same...no difference.sad.gif
