Bro idoblu. Since u have a mixture of xiaomi and sonofff switches.. may i know how you deal with those 20amps switches (for aircond ovens etc) ? I don really need smart control on those switches but will like something that can blend in well with those glass panel smart switches as they are just next to each other
*
All my 20amps switches, I use what was given by developer, which are non smart Schneider Vivace laugh.gif
They are always On anyway
I also don’t have any Sonoff Wall switches. Only Sonoff basics and smart plugs

The 20A touch smart switch is too expensive I think or should I say over-priced.

The more economical approach would be using normal touch switch in combination with sonoff POW that handle 16A. Should be able to handle 1HP air-con and 3kW water heater.

Hello guys, I am considering the Mi smart home system but I think one gateway may not be enough to cover the required area:

1. I suppose we can have multiple gateways in one system right, but must these gateways be in the same wifi network? (my current wifi setup is different floor different wifi)

2. is getting zigbee repeater better option?

1. Can use several gateways. Different SSID should be okay
2. Up to you. Whichever works best for you

Two way means two switches controlling the same lights?
If yes, then for Xiaomi just connect one wired Wall Switch on one end. The other end use a wireless wall switch.
Xiaomi is actually multi-way

Like this picture right ? so are you suggesting that i just ignore the other "com" wire (the brown wire in the picture), connect the live wire to L in xiaomi switch, the grey wire to L1, then on the second switch part just remove the switch, short the grey wire directly to the load and then use a wireless switch as the second switch ?

There are 2 methods of wiring. The wiring diagran here is old method. The new one is using 3 wires between switches. Are yours using 2 or 3 wires? Mine is using 3 wires. More flexible.

one more question guys.. are you all using xiaomi wall switch that requires neutral wire or the one that doesnt ? Is it better to just ask my contractor to pull a neutral wire ? or just buy the version that doesnt require one ?
