guys.. what will be your suggestion on smart switches to control lights, fans and 20amp appliances ? I kinda like xiaomi aqara ecosystem with sensors etc.. but I dont like the look of their switches... Im looking at something with touch glass switches.. was considering broadlink switches also.. but it doesnt work with eWeLink app ? any recommendation ?
hi guys.. just wondering if it is possible to do a mixture of xiaomi smart devices and sonoff smart switches together ? eg. using xiaomi motion sensor to turn on smart switchs from sonoff t2 ? I read somewhere that such integration is possible through home assistant in raspberry pi.. anyone comment on this ?
What are your concerns on the reliability? Sonoff wall switches works like normal wall switches even when internet is down. Xiaomi got versions which don't need neutral wire. Of course, Sonoff and Xiaomi switches can mix.
looking in terms of reliability and durability... can I use xiaomi motion sensor to trigger the lights with sonoff switches ? cant really find motion sensor from sonoff list of products
At this moment, you can do that provided you are using Home Assistant with your Xiaomi gateway and Sonoff switches. Few members are planning to do that including robert82 and kelembai. Not sure what is their progress but I am sure it can work.
hmm but that require us to flash the sonoff and xiaomi gateway right... scared of bricking the device haha
Bro idoblu. Since u have a mixture of xiaomi and sonofff switches.. may i know how you deal with those 20amps switches (for aircond ovens etc) ? I don really need smart control on those switches but will like something that can blend in well with those glass panel smart switches as they are just next to each other
Two way means two switches controlling the same lights? If yes, then for Xiaomi just connect one wired Wall Switch on one end. The other end use a wireless wall switch. Xiaomi is actually multi-way
But the existing two way switch has two live wire oredi... What to do with that two ive wire ?
Do you know how to wire a two way switch and understand how it works?
Like this picture right ? so are you suggesting that i just ignore the other "com" wire (the brown wire in the picture), connect the live wire to L in xiaomi switch, the grey wire to L1, then on the second switch part just remove the switch, short the grey wire directly to the load and then use a wireless switch as the second switch ?
one more question guys.. are you all using xiaomi wall switch that requires neutral wire or the one that doesnt ? Is it better to just ask my contractor to pull a neutral wire ? or just buy the version that doesnt require one ?
hi guys.. got a few questions: 1. whats the difference between the aqara motion sensor v1 and v2 ? 2. Cant seems to find xiaomi gateway v3... just bought the v2.. whats the difference between v2 and v3 ? 3. If i have two floors, will i need two gateways ? one for GF and one for 1st floor ?

hi guys.. if i replace my auto gate switch with a smart switch, any "scenes" that i can make to make it work like the mechanical auto gate switch ? Because auto gate switch when it is press will return back to its original position immediately...
Can by install the Sonoff 1 Channel Inching /Self-Locking WiFi Wireless Switch 5V 12V to your auto gate box.
this is not what i meant.... I have a wall switch given by the developer which is a momentary switch that has been wired to control my auto gate... i just plan to replace that wall switch with a sonoff switch... the only difference is that in a momentary switch, when you press it will complete the circuit... but when you let go it will go back to its original position.... so it just like pass the current for a short while... was womndering how to do it for smart switch
