Ok, dudes...I stumbled upon this thread, and I have the utmost respect for u guys, the deeds you guys do are an example for all us lambs.. Anyway, on to my point:

I think I found a way to bypass the P2P block, might not be fool-proof, but it seems to work pretty fine on my side.

Ok, this works on multiple computers at once, in my case, my house has 4 computers sharing the same line....yeah. Now, I was downloading BT file A, which has miltiple files in it, my total speed was 30K, I was pissed off, then it hit me. I set each computer to download seperate files onto individual computers, and guess what...lol...all files were downloading at 30K on individual computers, get it??

So, my theory, if you have multiple computers at hand, hook em up and download seperate files, or better yet, seperate PACKETS of a BT file on different computers...hope this helps!

this won't be of much use to the majority of BT users here because most of us are connected to a stand alone PC. We mostly bypass the stupid shaping with other alternatives already discussed in another thread. But thanks anyway for the tip! smile.gif

Another case that has confirmed the traffic shapping TMnut has been doing all along. They do it so well, that even their own technicians have no idea what is going on until they check with their HQ. Good work! Don't give up yet, call CFM again and tell them that you demand TMnut give you the speed you are paying for or give you a rebate. You should also say that you don't want to hear anymore of their lame excuses!

i found this post on the so called tmnut user group website. looks like this guy is going to sue tmnut for it's bad service and BT throttling.

That's exactly what I think so too. It is my opinion that this throttling thing is wholly illegal. They advertised and we signed a contract that specifically stated they give us an unlimited 1Mbps/etc line for RM77/88/99/etc a month. Now, not only are they complaining that we're using that bandwidth they promised us and we paid for, they're also throttling us. That's not "best effort". That's actively denying us the service that they advertised and that we signed a contract and paid for. It's not our fault that they oversold their bandwidth.

This fiasco was coming the moment they advertised unlimited bandwidth and yet refused to upgrade their infrastructure. There were repeated complaints from customers about this for a long time. Someone here even emailed the gateway provider and they mentioned that they had advised TM Net to open another gateway, to which TM Net did not respond. Until now when it's too late. Add that stupidity to the fact that there is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth and that they should have provided a capped package instead of this bogus unlimited package.

Needless to say, I just shot off another complaint to the CfM.

sabarlah , bro ... don't put too much hope toward TM.
maybe we should lower our expectation ... TM is providing its' best efford. Even though, TM's service is BAD. But, at least we still can access internet.

anyway I still look forward to see more attached reply from cfm. keep on complaints will be the only method to release customers' anger.

hehe, thats a positive way to look at it though biggrin.gif

indeed we can access internet, but i'll be very unfair to those who pays more for the faster package. The only practical thing that need anything faster than a basic 512k package is p2p activities, so all these user pays 22 bucks more than others in believes that it will meet their p2p requirement, but now TmNet is killing off the only application which moves user to get the faster package

It's like they gives us faster bandwidth, but they tell us how to use it

sabar??!! I have already run out of patience with this nincompoop, imcompetent, fradulent ISP!!!! I am still waiting for them to call me after sending my third complaint to CFM. If I don't hear from those monkeys after the Raya holidays, I am going to call CFM again and again and again until they know my name until I become famous over there. Or should I say infamous.....

Anyway, I am not going to let this moronic ISP rob me of my hard earned money without a fight!

TMNut is so useless now
even gaming also lag! wtf of throttling speed of p2p?
Mayb we keep on using p2p and the CEO cant stream some pAwN so he asked them to limit the bandwidth of us so that he can enjoy pAwN at better rate.

that's a good idea. but however, it wouldn't bring any effect to TM. TM is supported by government ... so, no point to not pay your bill. after all, TM will just cut off your internet for late payment. At last, you still need to pay.

about downgrade ... TM , is actually like customer to downgrade ( since TM's broadbandwidth is not enough to support nowadays' download need.
