so what if your modem sync speed is increased? can you download with that same kind of speed using BT? If you can then you can be happy. if not, then there's no reason to be overjoyed because everyone got the same upgrade as you.

if streamyx is very bad for you and jaring is giving you a better offer and if they are not throttling P2P, I say go for it!

BTW, I am still waiting for tmnut to get back to me after sending my fourth complaint to CFM. if those monkeys don't call me on monday, i am going call CFM again.

If I were you, I ask jaring about P2P. You should ask if they have any download restrictions or if they are throttling P2P. If they say they don't do such things and they have no limit on downloads, then go for it!

the quality of the service is still the same. the only thing nice about it is the so called "free" upgrade they give you by making your modem sync up to 2MB. Otherwise BT is still throttled to high heaven and other download speeds like HTTP is not consistent as they should be.

my friend, we are all throttled to high heaven. why do you think there is thread pinned at the top dedicated to this stupid throttling? Most of us have complained to tmnut and all we get are stupid answers of denials. so we complain to cfm instead. i suggest you start reading this thread from page 1 to get the full story.

It seems TMnet blocks connections to MIRC channels as well. Can anyone confirm? Only after using vpn/proxy that i can access MIRC.
