CnY Garage why haven't you uploaded after more than a week my bill as paid to you? My line is barred already I think, unable to access data and unable to call out.

Anyone can comment on the coverage of U-mobile around Subang/PJ/KL/Shah Alam areas? Got 4G coverage? And is the line stable?

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Dec 11 2015, 03:40 PM) It should be stronger frequency, as U Mobile uses 2600mhz while the other big 3 has 900mhz, 1800mhz so the big 3's indoor penetration is a lot better. The concept is similar to wifi routers too, 2.4ghz has wider coverage but not as fast, 5ghz is faster but coverage is lesser. So in lay man terms, UMobile should be faster but coverage weaker than big 3?? |

QUOTE(DCXW @ Dec 17 2015, 10:20 AM) that is in theory though. outdoor shouldn't be an issue, the difference would be on indoor. Still, there's a lot of factor that affects the outcome, so just pick whichever that works for you. |

H+ do occurs but rarely. Previously i was using celcom and i notice when im not using the phone it'll change to 3G mode. With that said, im worried as this might kill my battery life too. Does Fast Dormancy has to be supported by the telco as well? Another thing i notice, I tried watching Youtube this morning since got the free 2am-10pm streaming plan but fail to load because signal always at H instead of H+. Any comments on this? |

If my memory serves me right U Mobile does not support fast dormancy while Celcom does. That's why I said pick a telco that works for you, if it doesn't, mnp la |

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Dec 17 2015, 12:18 PM) The only thing I like about celcom is speed. If can get full signal all the time sibeh untung(pic down below). But problem is more towards stability. It keeps tukar network state from 3G/H/H+. Full bar signal also suddenly boleh disappear. Walaoweyh unker Skype with gf potong stim betul. Not to mention 3g and H got no data coming in. Want use data must wait for H+ or else jgn harap la. They really need to improve their stability I feel. Also their OCS. Their web version is so lousy, some things can't even display whereas the mobile version displays all the key components and so on.. But use phone browser pay bill mafan la aish.Overall speed boleh harap, tapi stability 4/10. Unker mainly use in setapak and shah alam Attached thumbnail(s) |

I get what you mean, I'm using Celcom also. It works fine for me on 4g, but if it is on 3g then I have the same experience as you(so basically apart from 4g I won't surf or won't be able to have a good surfing experience). I'm not facing any issues with their OCS, probably your browser issue Overall speed boleh harap, tapi stability 4/10. Unker mainly use in setapak and shah alam |

Any umobile user do visit or leave in this area? Its located just on the left side of Kelana Square. No matter how many times I go there, umobile always give me 2-3 line. I was never able to connect to 3G at all. SMS and Call works fine tho.

gxthelord, 2 months ago I was there. As I remember the broadband connection there is totally not reliable even for digi. Usually I will call UMobile customer service to complain about the network coverage, 0183881318. Please Please be patient with the level of customer service. They some time do ask rather stupid questions which the information had already given to them.

Calling their Helpline itself requires a whole new level of patience, because they never seem to pick up!!!Subscribed to UMI, credit deducted, but was told that I'm still not subscribed to any UMI plans when checked. So decided to call the Helpline, but no one picked up despite numerous tries from 12-6pm. Crazy |

So far I normally wait for 15 -35 min on the phone which most of the time I leave the phone till someone answer. Sometime I would just rather email them and CAPS out my frustration and problem. The most annoying part is when pick up the customer service don't know how to speak in english. Just bought Umobile Power Prepaid today, top up RM10 and got free 1GB. I don't really understand how this work though.
1) I will get 1GB every month and can use it even when my credit expired? 2) After I top up RM10 means I have RM15 balance now, can I use the RM15 to purchase data or is it only for calls?(cuz I can't find the purchase data menu in *118#) 3) What's the speed after finish using the 1GB? 4) How do I change from the current Power Prepaid to U28 or other prepaid plans? Hope someone can help me out here, first time using Umobile and also prepaid. Was on Maxis postpaid previously. Thanks This post has been edited by ace-user: Dec 19 2015, 09:37 PM |
