from the screen shot, it looks healthy, but information like total host writes was not shown.

you can ask the seller to send you a screen shot of crystal diskinfo for that drive, or use crucial storage executive, http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/support-stor...orage-executive

some numbers are at relatively lower sides, but it's still acceptable. you can compare it to benchmark scores of the same found online.

which form factor? m.2 or 2.5"?

for 2.5" i think you can choose from kingston or samsung. (there is no 'best' in budget ssds; they are almost the same in performance) alternatively you can check out garage sales here for good deals also.

ok; i suggest samsung 850 evo 250gb for its 5-year warranty. the price gap between budget ssd and mainstream ssd is narrow actually. budget ssd is about myr 400 (3 years of warranty); adding another myr70.00 you will get additional 2 years of warranty for samsung 850 evo. (and also relatively better performance) imo it's a better buy.

Anyone knows where I can find Aqua Computer kryoM.2 evo in Malaysia?
It's not available even in eBay international. And the shipping fees from Aqua Computer website is really expensive doh.gif

My 950 Pro is really hot at 50°C on idle sweat.gif

nice the heat sink looks thick smile.gif however not sure where to get this.

i still use an adapter with a thin passive heat sink bought few years ago; 35c idle. to me it's damn good already.

edit: noticed that samsung 960 pro has dropped price for a bit.

It looks ok. For a home user the 4k random read/write speed is more important than sequential benchmarks.

The 4k read/write sucks badly for this TLC ssd.

I found that TLC ssds will usually fail to complete (0Mb/s) the copy-benchmark in AS-benchmark utility which matches up with real world experience; with larger programs/games, the installation process can take very long in comparison with MLC type ssds.
https://www.techspot.com/downloads/6014-as-...-benchmark.html
Try the copy benchmark and see if it works properly.
