Im 174cm tall and my weight is 75kg.. Some say my height and weight is normal is but my physical appearance look thin.. Should i work out with just normal eating habit(thrice a day) or i need to eat more?

Calculate your TDEE, eat at surplus around 500 IF you looking to add mass/weight. Track your weight weekly and adjust your calorie intake. If gain weight too much, decrease calorie. If not much weight gain, increase by 100-200. But normally the first few weeks, your weight will fluctuate due to water loss/retention. Just be consistent and track everything well.

And lift heavy and rest well!

morning : milo + biscuit sometimes nasi lemak or mee hon
noon : rice/mee
evening : fruits
nite : home cooked rice + 1 big bowl of soup
P.S : two bowl of rice sometimes.
supper : mamak / snacks

saw my friend eat they just eat vege + a little little bit of rice but they still can fat !!

but why am i still so thin ??

Seriously go learn about nutrition. You need to track how much you eat. Not what you eat.
Take the advice given and go calculate your TDEE. Then track what you eat a few days and you might surprise that you are undereating. Although it might be due to you having higher metabolism. In that case just increase the amount of food you taking.

Those gain weight method you mention, I not sure whether it working or not. But I confirm eating more is much more effective method.

evening: fruits and supper.. how often?

as above say, you need to read about nutrition.
trust me, i ate like you before. surely still thin...

eat consistently. stick to it.

esp:
nasi lemak every morning consistently
noon: 2-3plate rice/mee consistently
evening: bread+kaya consistently
nite: 2-3 plate rice consistently
supper: mamak everyday consistently

do like this for 1~2month. check your weight. ok, don thank me on this, you achieve your goal.(gain weight)

bear in mind, it is weight gain not muscles gain.. (most of weight might be water+fat)

P/S: it is not healthy diet to gain weight. as above say, get your nutrition knowledge right. and be consistent on a diet plan.

Genetics oso play an important role. If yr family r tall and lanky, then obviously it'll be very hard 4 u to be bigger in size. Heard frm my relative dat one may grow fat when he/she bcomes a middle-aged person. So, dun fret, yet... brows.gif

I dun agree. Those who put in 100% to grow big doesnt mean dat he/she will change frm a skinny person to a big, muscular person. He/she will develop more muscles, just that. The link you gave are talking about body type. Yes, that can't be changed because it's genetic. It shows that the amount of muscle you can gain and the pros and cons for each body type. Not the inability to grow.

But the inability of eating more and putting blame on genetic because you father mother grandfather and all you ancestor are thin skinny and twig is just plain wrong. Everyone can grow big from being thin, they just need to learn what to eat, how much to eat and what to do. That's all.

Perhaps I caused dis misunderstanding by not stating it clear enuf. I didnt say dat its not worth d effort to try to gain weight. Putting in lots of effort to achieve a much better body size is definitely something worthwhile to do, but to expect someone who's like d size of a toothpick to transform into a pencil is near impossible. Also, I'm not encouraging people to blame their body frame to genetics at d first possible moment. I was juz saying genetics is a factor dat may determine wat body type u r now. It's juz an explanation, not an excuse~

wow.. after read few page and i realize its hard to gain weight,right..
its either to gain fat or,the body muscle..
im new here with 175 tall and 56kg.. any tips for me to gain weight? and i want muscle.
type of food that i should consume? preferly non body build up supplements.. like meats etc..

U can try Googling it~ I hav tried Googling but I was confused wif all dat workout jargon... rclxub.gif As 4 me, I usually do push-ups, sit-ups and some weight lifting.

NOPE. Unless the scientist are the level of compressing a whole chicken to a size of a pill, no there isn't a weight gain pill out there.

The only thing that can make you gain weight is calorie which you can get from almost every food available on this planet earth. You want to gain weight, just eat them.
